White Gesso Primer is a unique formulation which needs no dilution. This acrylic primer can be used on a wide variety of surfaces and will dry quickly. No sizing needed before use on unprimed canvas, card, paper, hardboard or wood-panel. These light bags are also great for easy lifting and pouring. The clear packaging tells you instantly how much primer you have left. Space saving bags such as these, are excellent for both transportation and storage. The ability to squeeze the air out of your primer pouch for storage between uses, reduces the dried up edges that can crumble in and contaminate the rest of your gesso. Imagine no more dried up lumps in your primer! Instructions: 1. Stir contents before use. Thin with water up to 10% when applying to absorbent surfaces. 2. Surface to be primed should be clean and free of loose particles. 3. Do not size ground before application. When final coat is thoroughly dry, a second may be applied. Ready for use after 24 hours. 4. Glossy or smooth surfaces should be slightly roughed to improve adhesion before applying primer. Avoid exposure to frost and do not apply at temperatures below 5C.
Transparent, lightfast and age-resistant primer for acrylic and oil colours as well as pastels. The elastic film of the clear gesso dries matt and is water-resistant. Application: Transparent primer is ready for use, may also be diluted with water (max.10%) and should be applied 3-4 times with a brush on your surface.The temperature of the object should not be less than 8°C. For extremely absorbent surfaces like a natural canvas a sizing with size/pre-primer is recommended. May be tinted with transparent acrylic colours. Available in 500 ml jar |
