"Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
things not seen." - Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV) Faith is the opposite of fear. Without faith, it is impossible
to please God. Faith in Christ secures freedom from condemnation;
it is the necessary component of saving grace. Faith is fellowship
with Jesus Christ. Faith trusts in the Word of God. Faith is a
conviction that Jesus Christ is Messiah. Faith is experiencing life
with Jesus Christ. Faith in Jesus Christ provides confidence. Faith
in Jesus Christ is power to act. Grace and faith are the first
principles of the Gospel. Faith in Jesus Christ believes in his
attributes of character and perfection. True faith, by Jesus
Christ's definition, always involves surrender to the will of
God. Be sure and secure in faith

My name is Ramona Antillon, I'm a Christian woman and a mother of
four whom at 23 weeks along in my pregnancy had to believe that
everything that happens in life is meant for a reason. When doctors
only gave my unborn baby 20% chance at life, the only thing I could
do was place my trust in God Sometimes we don't know why and we may
never know why things happen but we just need to always trust God
in everything. The unexpected birth of my daughter Ashleigh was the
most difficult experience I've ever had to face. I wrote this book
with God's help and I kept a journal about Ashleigh from beginning
to end. I recorded details that happened while Ashleigh was in the
hospital and I wrote them all down in the journal daily so that one
day Ashleigh would always remember and never forget how special she
is and how God healed her. It wasn't until 8 years later that the
Lord impressed in my heart to share her story. I want Ashleigh's
story to help others who may face a difficult birth of a child or
for those who are sick to know that God is their healer Medicine
alone wasn't enough to heal Ashleigh, it was by the healing hand of
God that Ashleigh was healed and is now living a normal life I know
that we serve an awesome God and that He is our healer. As you read
this book I pray that you will be blessed and you too will know
that He is your healer; He is the God of all flesh and nothing is
too hard for Him with God all things are possible

"My Roots, My Love, My Destiny"is the story of two strong women,
told across an epic and rich canvas painted by two wars and two
unique destinies. In her ninety-six years, Ogeri, author Beatrice
Akpu Inyang Eleje's mother, experienced danger, heartbreak, and
great love. Her journey spanned most of the twentieth century and
was dictated by the societal norms, values, and traditions of the
Nigeria of her time. Lovingly reconstructed, these are a few of
Eleje's most beloved and revered memories of her mother. For the
daughter, her journey was spent attempting to navigate rapidly
changing waters. Caught between two colliding civilizations-the
Western civilization and African culture and Nigeria-two cultures,
and two world views, her path was less certain. While one world
encouraged independence, the other demanded absolute filial
obedience. Rebellion was inevitable. As Eleje listened to her mother speak of her life, the
similarities emerged. Both women survived their husbands, and both
knew the heartache of illness, loss, and uncertainty-as well as the
joys of love in the most unexpected places. But through it all
rings a life-sustaining truth worth celebrating: no matter how dark
the tunnel, there is always light just around the corner ... if you
can just lift your head to look. Designed to inspire younger women to persevere in the face of
seemingly in-surmountable odds, the story of these two women proves
that no matter what, you just need to take the next step-to-ward
hope.

"Abused, Conquered, Alive" is a touching memoir of the effects
of abuse and the hope that victims might be able to find peace.
Author Mary Proctor Reed talks about the different types of abuse
she experienced as a child and as an adult. She also chronicles the
life she lived as an adult--as a loving wife and mother. She
explains the forms that abuse can take and how each person can
conquer the abuse and take back his or her life. The good news is
that there is life beyond the abuse, and it is within the reach of
each victim. The author shares poignant memories of her husband, Mike, and
his devastating fight with melanoma skin cancer along with the
challenges they faced in their marriage. As a pastor, Mike had to
minister to many different people while struggling with his disease
for eleven years. Author Reed takes us through the last hours of
his life and the feelings of shock as the realization that he was
gone took hold of her. She offers hope to all who have experienced
abuse and the understanding that even when we feel conquered,
through God's love we can live and love again. By reading "Abused, Conquered, Alive," those who have suffered
abuse can find hope and faith again.

Chisel yourself free from harmful strongholds and discover your
true belonging With a sense of directness this book will tell of my
life's mishaps, curses and good fortune. And how now with undaunted
devotion blessings come more frequently as evil subsides. Hopefully
as you read you will be moved in a positive direction that will
help you conquer life's constant battles-without spending too much
time in the self-help section at your local bookstore like I did
You can find strength through all trials and tribulations no matter
where you are. Help is within, and by reaching near to Divinity you
will undoubtedly come upon it. A past coach of mine said: "Most of
us are psychological basket cases in one form or another." I
believe that in a sense. In fact, the sufferings I see among others
make me realize how wonderful my life really is-while another may
look at me and say the same. We all have different stories some
worse than the next. Whether it's your health; lack of discipline,
motivation, or job; loss of a loved one; struggle with addiction; a
difficult relationship-or maybe you have yet to meet your true love
and you're spending life alone; we all suffer in one way or
another. Delight in knowing that no matter what your situation you
can learn to pull through any condition-vast or minuscule-by a
Divine Power as I have. With strong conviction borne from past and
present experiences, I know that God is leading my way. I was led
and protected by the Holy Spirit to the point of recognition: once
I became aware of His closeness I held on to that. And by will, not
force, I have continued to carry and fulfill my soul with the most
beautifully awaited kinship imaginable. My decision has left me
with more confidence, comfort and joy than I ever dreamed possible.
I am no religious scholar, and my quest is not to try and reel you
into some supernatural cult. I am just another fleshly individual
making my way, like you. In this book I disclose my ongoing
endeavors in the hope of helping you have a better understanding of
what it takes to fulfill your spiritual being with such
life-changing, glorious power. Allow God to form you from the
inside out. Grant Him the right to do the molding while He provides
you gear to assist Him.

Through the biography of an unusual Manchu Chinese female devotee
who contributed to the spread of Tibetan Buddhism in Taiwan, the
book provides a new angle at looking at Sino-Tibetan relations by
bringing issues of gender, power, self-representation, and
globalization. Gongga Laoren's life, actions and achievements show
the fundamental elements behind the successful implementation of
Tibetan Buddhism in a Han cultural environment and highlights a
process that has created new expectations within communities,
either Tibetan or Taiwanese, working in political, economic,
religious and social contexts that have evolved from martial law in
the 1960s to democratic rule today.

Often characterized as David facing Goliath on the tennis court, at
5'9" and 150 pounds Michael Chang is used to playing with the big
hitters. What he lacks in stature, he makes up for in
determination. A serious contender at any Grand Slam event, his
bold statement of faith in God makes him a role model we can all
look up to. "What's nice," Michael says, "is that, as long as my
priorities are straight, I'm able to go out with the mentality to
really leave the winning and losing up to the Lord." In Holding
Serve readers get a unique glimpse at Team Chang, Michael's
powerful family unit that he credits with much of his success.
Michael also shares the story of how he became a Christian and the
