What happens when technology has advanced to the point where it begins to truly take over our lives, affecting our relationships? Set in a parallel present where the latest must-have gadget for any busy family is a Synth a highly-developed robotic servant eerily similar in appearance to humans. These incredible machines share our homes, our jobs and our lives and so become the objects of our fear, lust, hatred, affection and even love. A year has passed since the synths gained consciousness, but they're fighting to survive in a world that hates and fears them.
After Earth is ravaged by a great religious war, two androids set out to raise human children on the mysterious virgin planet Kepler-22b, a treacherous task jeopardized by the arrival of a devout congregation of surviving humans. The first two episodes were directed by Ridley Scott, who also serves as an executive producer for the show. The series was filmed in the Western Cape, specifically Somerset West, Stellenbosch and Cape Town, South Africa.
Hundreds of years in the future, the last remaining humans discover a means of sending consciousness back through time. These 'travelers' assume the lives of seemingly random people in the 21st century in order to secretly save humanity from the natural and man-made disasters, harmful politics and policies that resulted in the dystopian future they abandoned. The travelers assume the lives of people who are about to die. Despite rigorous research into their hosts' lives, they quickly find out that impersonating these people is more difficult than they could ever imagine. For them, keeping up pretenses will prove just as tough as their high-stake missions. FBI Special Agent Grant MacLaren is the team's leader who after the nearly fatal pursuit of a criminal, is taken over by a traveler from the future. The newly arrived MacLaren is immediately forced to live a double life while pretending to be an FBI agent, acting like the man his wife of 11 years knows and loves, while juggling the complicated plans set out for him and his team from the future.

Its creator Dr. Robert Ford has designed an expansive experience where wealthy customers pay to immerse themselves in the Wild West, with his artificially intelligent beings on hand to indulge their fantasies. One such customer enters the park in search of a maze and like so many of his fellow clients attacks two of the robots, Teddy and Dolores, shortly after his arrival. Dolores' subsequent strange behaviour leads Dr. Ford to investigate her programming, which appears normal, but it seems she is not the only host displaying changes in their behaviour...
After years of human civil war and growing political unrest, mankind’s very future is threatened when our outermost colonies intrude upon the sacred worlds of the Covenant – a fanatical powerful alliance of alien species.
