The spirit of Madame Lenormand-the most famous cartomant--is captured in this oracle deck, inspired by traditional Italy. Publisher Review: Tarot cards are packed with layers of imagery. You can approach a Tarot card from so many angles: traditional meaning, astrological, elemental, or numeric correspondences, symbolic interpretation, intuitive messages, etc. In fact, although we all love the depth and empowerment that we get from our Tarot decks, let's admit it--sometimes we just want an easy answer, an old-school fortune-telling. If you, like me, get this occasional craving, it is good to have an oracle deck on hand. Although I like to sometimes play with oracles in general, I find that there is nothing like a historic oracle (such as a Lenormand or Sibilla) for clear, quick answers. The Every Day Oracle is, according to the booklet, an authentic...read more.

An absolutely stunning display of lavish gold foil and exquisite Renaissance art, this deck is pure magic and mystery The shimmering gold reflects the light, seducing the intuition and delighting the eye. This deck is a treasure, truly a must-have for all Tarot enthusiasts. Originally commissioned in 1450 by the Duke of Milan, and attributed to Bonifacio Bembo, this is a reproduction of the oldest extant Tarot deck. This product includes 78 full-color cards and 9 cards with instructions. No booklet included. Publisher Review: When I was in high school, I was fortunate enough to take a trip through Europe. I desperately wanted to see some of the famous sites. I ended up disappointed with many of them. The Leaning Tower of Pisa was just an old building falling on its side. The Eiffel Tower was an enormous rusty hunk of metal. The Mona Lisa was dark, dingy, and criss-crossed with hairline cracks. The ceiling of the Sistine Chapel was likewise dark and dismal with muted colors (it's been cleaned since I was there). The truth is that great works of art and architecture age and need to be cared for. Most art does not receive the appropriate care. Perhaps the oldest--and certainly the most complete--example we have of the Tarot is known by a variety of names. Attributed to Bonifacio Bembo, they were commissioned in 1450 for Filippo Maria Visconti, the Duke of Milan, Italy. Because they weren't finished until his successor, Francesco Sforza, was in office, this deck is often called the Visconti-Sforza Tarot or simply the Visconti Tarot. Today read more]
Following the esoteric workings of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, "The Hermetic Tarot Deck" includes astrological, sephirotic, angelic, geomantic, and numerical attributions on each card.
This elegant gift box holds a stunning reproduction of the Visconti-Sforza tarot deck alongside a book providing its history and guidance for interpreting and using the cards, with a purple satin cloth to lay out for your readings. The tarot is much more than mere pictures on cards-the pictures are physical symbols for spiritual concepts. The images are symbolic representations of archetypal forces and/or beings which have always existed and have been identified and passed on to us by ancient initiates and which provide a focus for us to use in self-initiation, spiritual development, and the perception of hidden wisdom. The tarot deck included in this gorgeous set was commissioned around 1451 by the Visconti and Sforza families, and it is one of the oldest tarot decks in existence. The images on the cards have been faithfully recreated, showing members of the Sforza and Visconti families in period garments. The borders of these majestic cards are adorned with gold metallic ink. The accompanying book provides a history of Visconti-Sforza cards, 35 of which are now in the collection of the Pierpont Morgan Library in New York City. The symbolism of the different cards is described, along with explanations of different ways to arrange the cards when seeking information about different aspects of life.
