“Unlike other adapters, the NexYZ features three directional knobs (X, Y and Z axes) that perfectly align your phone’s camera with the scope eyepiece in seconds. In addition, you can make tension adjustments to keep the phone firmly in place and, rather pleasingly, the clamp system allows the phone to be positioned to capture images in landscape mode as opposed to portrait, which is so often the hallmark of most smartphone images.” – from Expert Reviews, “Birdwatch” magazine, November 2018
“Fitting the phone to the adapter is simple and quick, and the phone is held securely in place – no need to worry about it dropping out as you move around. You then adjust the phone’s position using the X and Y axis knobs – this too is easy and relatively quick. Finally, the Z axis knob enables you to lower or raise the phone to eliminate vignetting.” – Matt Merritt, “Unlock your phone’s potential,” Gear Reviews, “Birdwatching” magazine, August 2018
NexYZ fits any eyepiece from 35 mm to 60 mm in diameter including telescopes with 1.25” and 2” eyepieces, spotting scopes, monoculars, and binoculars. NexYZ will also attach to microscopes with the addition of the included adapter ring, which takes the usable diameter down to 25 mm, the size of a standard microscope eyepiece. A strong spring and a threaded twist lock provide a two-level strong and secure grip on the optical instrument’s eyepiece so you can image with confidence.
NexYZ also accommodates a huge range of smartphones. The phone platform is fully adjustable and can fit any device—usually with the case still on. Even larger “phablets” like the iPhone 8 Plus and latest Samsung Galaxy devices work perfectly. The secure platform stands up to the weight of these heavier devices with ease.
If multiple people want to capture a shot through your optic, NexYZ’s simple spring-loaded clamps make it easy to remove one device and replace it with another in seconds. NexYZ is the ideal solution for star parties and group bird walks where everyone wants their own shot of the action.
Easy as X-Y-Z
What makes NexYZ different from other smartphone adapters? The three-axis adjustment. Most adapters rely on you placing your phone perfectly on the platform and only offer limited adjustment in two axes. But NexYZ gives you the power to place your phone on the platform, center it over the eyepiece with the X and Y knobs, and then move up or down over the eyepiece until you have the entire field of view in your shot.
And even though this adjustment is ultra-precise, it’s still quicker and easier than with other adapters. From start to finish, the process only takes about 30 seconds, including the time it takes to insert the phone into NexYZ, attach NexYZ to an eyepiece, start the camera app, and center the camera over the eyepiece using the knobs. If you switch phones, eyepieces, or optical instruments, you will need only slight adjustments to re-center the camera over the new eyepiece.
You can also switch your image from portrait to landscape simply by turning the padded eyepiece clamp and readjusting the X, Y, and Z axis to realign your phone with the eyepiece.
NOTE: NexYZ fits telescopes, spotting scopes, binoculars, monoculars, and microscopes. It will not fit riflescopes. NexYZ will work with most phone cases, but if you have an especially large phone case with built-in batteries or a folio style case, Celestron recommends removing it for optimal use.

Celestron has reinvented the manual telescope with StarSense Explorer—the first telescope that uses your smartphone to analyze the night sky and calculate its position in real time. StarSense Explorer is ideal for beginners thanks to the app’s user-friendly interface and detailed tutorials. It’s like having your own personal tour guide of the night sky.
Dock, Launch, Explore
Leave complicated star charts, imprecise planetarium apps, and computerized mounts behind. With StarSense Explorer, locating objects has never been easier, faster, or more accurate.
Within minutes of setting up the telescope, you’ll be navigating the sky with confidence. Simply place your phone in the unique StarSense dock and launch the StarSense Explorer app.
After aligning your phone to the telescope’s optics (a quick, 2-minute procedure), StarSense Explorer generates a list of celestial objects currently visible.
Make your selection and arrows appear onscreen, guiding you as you to move the telescope. When the object is ready to view, the bullseye turns green.
Smartphone Compatibility
StarSense Explorer works with most modern smartphones, including iPhone 6 and up and most devices running Android 7.1.2 or later manufactured since 2016.
Patented StarSense Sky Recognition Technology
StarSense Explorer uses patented technology and your smartphone to determine exactly where the telescope is pointed in the night sky.
A Lost in Space Algorithm (LISA), like the ones satellites use in orbit to correctly orient themselves, helps the app match star patterns it detects overhead to its internal database.
While other astronomy apps may claim that they can help you find objects, they rely exclusively on the phone’s gyros and accelerometers, which aren’t as accurate as LISA technology.
No other app can accurately tell you when your target is visible in the eyepiece.
Sturdy Altazimuth Mount
StarSense Explorer LT’s simple altazimuth mount makes it easy to move the telescope to find your target.
An altitude slow motion adjustment with a sliding rod helps you fine tune the telescope’s pointing position and follow targets as they appear to drift across the night sky. It’s all anchored by an adjustable, full-height tripod.
Dazzling Views with High Quality Optics
With a large 114mm (4.5”) objective lens, this telescope has enough light gathering ability to bring out detail in celestial objects.
You can expect sharp, bright views of Jupiter’s four Galilean moons, its cloud bands and Great Red Spot, the rings of Saturn, the trapezium in the Orion Nebula, and beautiful Pleaides Open Star Cluster.
Perfect for the City or Dark Sky Sites
Even if you live in a light polluted city location, StarSense Explorer is advanced enough to be able to pick out Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, the Orion Nebula, double stars, and a few more of the most famous celestial objects.
But if you can take the telescope to an even slightly darker location, more objects will become visible. With this 4.5” Newtonian and relatively dark skies, the Andromeda Galaxy, Hercules Open Star Cluster, and so many more are easily within your reach.
The entire telescope kit weighs just 10.4 pounds, so it’s perfectly portable and easy to bring on your next camping trip or to a remote observing site.

Slik ECH-630 Star Tracker Kit
The SLIK ASTRA ECH-630 Astro-Tracker is a compact motorized turn table with speed settings for star, moon, and time-lapse photography. Some astro-tracking heads can weigh up to 5kg but the ECH-630 weighs just 630g and takes up about the same amount of room as a 24-70mm lens in your camera bag. This makes it perfect for photographers that hike into remote locations to shoot the stars.
The ECH-630 capacity varies based on its angle. It can hold up 5kg when the turntable is flat and up to 2kg at a 90 degree angle. (See instructions for further details.) This makes it perfect for light-weight DSLR cameras or mirrorless cameras with fast prime lenses.
4 high-quality AA sized batteries are all that is needed for the ECH-630 to operate for up to 20 hours of celestial tracking, more than enough for a full night. The unit also has a micro USB port to connect an external battery for even longer run times.
An accessory kit with includes two fully-coated eyepieces for a high magnification (a 9 mm Plšssl and a 15 mm Kellner eyepiece), two power lens featuring T-threads to attach a camera to telescope (with optional t-ring), which will double the magnification of any eyepiece used with it. Konusmotor-130 5" f/7.7 Reflector Telescope with RA Motor
The Konusmotor-130 5" f/7.7 Telescope with RA Motor from Konus is an ideal intermediate scope for making observations of the Moon and planets as well as brighter deep sky objects. The 5" primary mirror and anti-reflection multicoated optics ensure images are bright and clear. This German equatorial mount is a step-up from a beginner version with the addition of a Right Ascension tracking motor that counteracts the Earth's rotation and keeps your subjects centered for longer observation sessions. Using the motor to track, instead of the more common manual cable not only ensures steady and smooth movement, but it also greatly reduces vibrations. The manual slow-motion declination cable allows for adjustments if necessary. To further reduce vibrations Konus outfits the focuser with a motor that can achieve a smooth fine focus that manual focusing often cannot.
Assembled as a complete observation platform, the scope includes an adjustable-height aluminum tripod, a red dot finderscope for faster alignment and sighting, and two eyepieces. The 10mm eyepiece produces 100x power, and the 17mm produces 59x. A filter is also included for users to safely make detailed observations of the Moon. To transport and carry the OTA and tripod are two bags with zipper closures.
This T-Ring is designed to work with Nikon brand 35 mm camera. A T-Ring couples your 35 mm camera body to a T-Adapter, Radial Guider or Tele-Extender. This accessory is required if you want to do any type of photography through a telescope or spotting scope.
The Wide Angle Eyepiece from Celestron is a 1.25" barrel diameter eyepiece designed to deliver a comfortable wide apparent angle of view that makes finding and tracking subjects fast and easy. This eyepiece can be used in any spotting scope or telescope that accepts 1.25" eyepieces.
The optics feature Celestron's XLT multi-coating, which minimizes reflection and increases light transmission, ensuring bright and crisp images with true colors. The eyepiece is nitrogen-filled and gasket-sealed to be waterproof and fogproof, for use in all weather conditions. The twist-up eyecup unscrews from the eyepiece to reveal threads for a T-mount camera adapter for digiscoping with a DSLR.
