1909. A booklet issued by the American Section of the Theosophical
Society intended to be a primer on Theosophy. The Theosophical
Society, founded in 1875, is a worldwide body whose primary object
is Universal Brotherhood based on the realization that life, and
all its diverse forms, human and non-human, is indivisibly One.
Some examples of the topics covered include The Aura, The Denizens
of the Astral Plane, Basic Doctrines of Theosophy, Seeking Perfect
Development, and more.
Isis Unveiled is a master key to the mysteries of ancient and
modern science and theology. With the help of this book you will be
able to make sense of how so many of the world's peaceful and
beautiful religions have been changed by those in charge of said
religions. H. P. Blavatsky's knowledge of religious minutia is
immense and her assertions will challenge the way you look at the
world. She slices through one religious agenda after another in
search of truth. No religion is safe and no beliefs go
unchallenged. Now you can have both volumes of this esoteric
masterpiece in one binding.
This book describes the development of the human root races &
esoteric sciences in humanity over the past 100+ million years
based on theosophical data.
The subject of our past is of profound interest, but errors in
detail may consist with a helpful grasp of main truths and
principles. I have spared no pains to arrive at facts and avoid
mistakes, but accuracy of such questions is more a question of
power than of care.

The very rites and ceremonies of religion that are binding on the
Soul that is still unliberated, become useless when the Soul has
gained liberation, for then the Soul no longer can be held by
anything.-from "Yoga"Anne Besant was one of the most popular and
beloved voices of theosophy, the occult philosophy of the early
20th century that sought to find the underlying universal truths in
all religions. Here she turns her theosophical eye on the
traditions and beliefs of Hinduism, using the precepts of theosophy
as a guide to understanding the obscurer meanings of Hindu sacred
writings.Originally delivered as a series of lectures in 1893, and
published in book form the next year, this is an illuminating
exploration of Hinduism-and the fundamental essence of all
religious expression-from a perspective almost forgotten
today.British social reformer and writer ANNIE BESANT (1847-1933)
was an early public advocate of birth control and women's health
care, as well as an active proponent of theosophy. Among her books
are The Ancient Wisdom (1897), Death and After (1901), and Occult
Chemistry (1919).
"Suddenly the thought came into my mind: 'What if this be but
hallucination...' -from "The Arabian Nights in New York" The
philosophical discipline of theosophy enjoyed a flowering in the
late 19th century, a spiritual reaction to the materialism
aggressive scientific exploration and the newly ascendant corporate
culture seemed to be promoting. In 1910, Claude Bragdon published
this overview of the roots of theosophy, and it remains an
important document of this influential movement, key reading for
anyone interested in the origins and aims of early New Age thought.
Though known primarily as an architect and, later, as a stage
designer, Bragdon dabbled in mysticism, and brings his
well-deserved renown as a delightful, charming writer to this
little volume. Other works by Bragdon available from Cosimo
Classics: More Lives Than One, The Beautiful Necessity,
Architecture and Democracy, and A Primer of Higher Space (The
Fourth Dimension). American architect, stage designer, and writer
CLAUDE FAYETTE BRAGDON (1866-1946) helped found the Rochester
Architectural Club, in the city where he made his greatest mark as
a building designer with structures including Rochester Central
Station, Rochester Institute of Technology, and the First
Universalist Church; he also designed Peterborough Bridge in
Ontario. In later life, Bragdon worked on Broadway as scenic
designer for 1930s productions of Cyrano de Bergerac and Hamlet,
among others.
Other Contributors: William Q. Judge; Annie Besant; G. De Purucker;
James M. Warnack; Boris De Zirkoff.

With the predictions of the Sanctus Germanus Prophecies Volume 1
coming to pass, the present Volume 2 concentrates on the
lightbearer's role during the post-2012 Earth changes and
reconstruction effort. Lightbearers are today's Bodhisattvas,
thousands of advanced initiates and past luminaries of earth, who
have reincarnated to help mankind through this period of great
change and turmoil. The Sanctus Germanus Prophecies, Volume 2 is a
practical guide for the lightbearer to situate his or her place in
the grand scheme of things and prepare for the coming challenges.
A second, wiser self guides us through life. Without it we would
not go far, for it is what makes us human. In the first years of
life -- before memory and ego -- it guides us to stand upright and
to learn to speak and think. Then we exchange this wisdom, which is
still connected to the spiritual hierarchies, for our
ego-consciousness. Yet it remains ever-present, and through
meditation we can consciously connect to it.
