After being wounded on the battlefields of Iraq, elite special forces soldier MacPherson (Val Kilmer) is forced to retire from the Marine Corps. Arriving back home to an uncertain future, he receives an invitation from a former comrade and reluctantly agrees to join him on his ranch in Arizona. On his arrival, he finds that his friend has mysteriously disappeared, and that none of the locals will admit to knowing him. On further investigation, he discovers a plot by local businesses aimed at running illegal immigrants out of town by any means possible, including murder. Armed and extremely dangerous, the one-man army decides to dispense some rough justice of his own.
