Interracial & Intercultural by Andisa Dayimani *퐑퐞퐜퐞퐢퐯퐞퐝 퐚 퐜퐨퐩퐲 퐟퐫퐨퐦 퐭퐡퐞 퐚퐮퐭퐡퐨퐫 퐟퐨퐫 퐚퐧 퐡퐨퐧퐞퐬퐭 퐫퐞퐯퐢퐞퐰 * This is one of those books that gives you a deeper insight to what couples go through in interracial marriages, it's not as much about the marriage, but how outsiders view couples in these kind of marriages or relationships. I'm a reader, getting insight to what the author has been going through with people. Whether family, friends or strangers. Just when I started to read this book I've been seeing more couples of mix races, I also seen a man with his three beautiful children even though I noticed that they were fair in skin to their father. I believe that we need to embrace our differences. Even though on the outside we have differences, but the same color blood, same organs is within our bodies. The author expresses her thoughts by giving us her own journey of being in a interracial relationship, she also backs everything with scripture between Ephesians 5 and Proverbs 31. If we go deep in biblical times, through the ages men has married outside of their culture, Solomon married outside his cultural history including Samson. Esther was a Jew and married the Persian King. Their union was based on the call of God. Boaz was a Jew and married Ruth who was a Moab woman. There are times God calls two people together for the sake of the Kingdom. As a woman looking into the life of the author you can feel that she's based her marriage on the Word of God and not based on what the South African ideology says about interracial and intercultural. "People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." A man does not take a wife because of her upbringing or her skin color, he takes a wife because it's love that brought him to her and vice-versa.
