This interdisciplinary collectionexamines the unacknowledged
affinities (and crucial differences) between avant-garde and
diasporic formal strategies and social formations. The essays
foreground the creation of experimental forms and investigate the
specific contexts of cultural displacement andlanguage use that
inform their poetics.
