The main work in this book is "A Reformulation of Dialectical
Materialism", which incorporates feminist theory into the
traditional Marxist presentation of the science of dialectical
materialism. An appendix to the main work discusses the question of
whether nature exhibits dialectical development. Three recent
additional essays complete this book. "9/11 and Nationalism"
concludes that if and when fascism comes to the United States, it
will be on the basis of nationalism rather than simply white
supremacy and conservative Christianity. "Relation of Progressives
to the Democratic Party" and "A New Approach to Supporting
Progressive Electoral Candidates" concern current electoral work.
