The Johannesburg children’s home is the oldest charitable in Gauteng and have cared for thousands of children over the past 120 years: we believe that child care is not just the provision of food and shelter, but also includes the provision of a special place for a child to be, a home in which he/she can take pride and feel surrounded by love and warmth. Added to this, we offer expert advice and counselling for the children from professional psychologists and educationalists. This ensures the healthy development of their physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, educational and social needs. The Johannesburg children's home is a residential facility committed to providing high quality care for 64 children who have been found in need of care by the Children's Court. It resembles a cluster-style village with recreational facilities where qualified support is given to all the children. We invite you to partner us in the success we continue to have with mistreated children. As a non-profit organization, we rely entirely on fund raising activities and donations to build and sustain the holistic and multi-layered support we provide.
