A young man lands a job as a speech writer for a crack smoking,
drunk driving, ass grabbing, lying Mayor of Toronto. In a satirical
comedic novel that has story elements that sound familiar to many,
'Me and the Crack Mayor' imagines the inner world of a political
administration that is out of control, yet unapologetic. While
inspired by real events, this is a work of fiction that imagines
what it would be like to be in the centre of a storm that makes the
wrong kind of world wide headlines for Toronto. The novel is the
second for author Gary Pearson, his first, the romantic comedy
Slapshot of Love is also available through Amazon. Pearson is best
known as a comedy writer for such TV shows as MadTV, This Hour Has
22 Minutes, That's So Weird and many others. He has won the
Writer's Guild of Canada Award, The Canadian Comedy Award and a
Canadian Screen Award. He has been nominated for six Gemini Awards
and two further Canadian Screen Awards.
