Volume two of the series IVS SAXONICO-MAIDEBVRGENSE IN ORIENTE
presents the results of investigation into the dissemination of the
law book Sachsenspiegel, Magdeburg city law, and related legal
sources in Poland. The research project, carried out at the Saxony
Academy of Sciences in Leipzig, examined not only how legal norms
were influenced and exerted their own impacts, but also the effects
of language on law.
