consulted with specialists, begun pouring over the literature and
scoured the internet for information. You will have read of causes,
therapies and treatments. And in the end there is no cure. Only
strategies to deal with problems and ways to cope. For many,
especially those of you who have children recently diagnosed,
things can seem bleak and depressing. I'm here to tell you that
this need not be the case. Life with an autistic child can be every
bit as rewarding and fulfilling as with a normal child. This book
is not about problem solving, treatments, or therapies. It is about
joy.
