An upbeat, contemporary novel, Full Blast cleverly combines romance
with intrigue in this story set in Beaumont, a deeply religious
Southern American Town. The peacefulness which normally
characterises Beaumont is suddenly shattered as scandal descends in
the form of a sinister murder against a backdrop of numerous
unusual goings-on. It is here we find Jamie, a popular and feisty
character whose life also becomes somewhat more animated in more
ways than one. She firstly discovers that she herself may hold the
key to these horrific crimes and secondly, the charming
multi-millionaire Max, has suddenly re-emerged into her life.
Together Jamie and Max embark on a turbulent journey of passion and
exploration as they set out to unravel the mystery which has rocked
the town as well as that which lies behind their own budding
romance. Although aspects of the storyline often appear to be
somewhat far-fetched, Full Blast is written with an effortless
energy and there is never a dull moment. It is a sassy combination
of comedy, romance and murder mystery and would appeal to lovers of
either genre. A good, fun, light-hearted read which is thoroughly
engaging. (Kirkus UK)
Treat yourself to FULL BLAST by Janet Evanovich and Charlotte
Hughes. Praise for the FULL series: 'A fine romance with plenty of
kisses' Mirror; 'A wild mix of intrigue, sex and pyrotechnics' The
Times Dating can be murder... Jamie Swift is facing the story of a
lifetime that could make or break her. Someone from her newspaper's
Lonely Heart's column has murdered a local woman. To find the
killer, and save her newspaper, Jamie will have to call in
mega-handsome millionaire genius Max Holt, who right now is still
frustratingly far from becoming anything more than just her
business partner. But the real problem isn't that Jamie wants to
get closer to Max, it's that the killer wants to get closer to
Jamie.
