Tropical degraded natural forests are of large areas on China's
Hainan Island and these forests are characterized as low ecological
and economical values. The restoration of the degraded natural
forests is a hot topic and urgent issue. Close-to-nature forests
are expected to meet the ecological requirements and the economical
needs of the society with the least investment. This book which is
based on a research study conducted on Hainan Island give an
