Bacterial resistance to therapeutic drugs is a global problem
making many of the bacterial infectious dangerous epidemics. Hence
search is on for newer and more effective antibiotics. The problem
of new antibiotics is often they are toxic to humans because of
their complex nature more over bacteria are known to develop
resistance to all these drugs quickly. Currently six molecular
targets are used in antibacterial therapy. Potentially bacteria are
expected to have over 2000 targets for antibacterial therapy. Hence
new antibiotics are directed towards any of these newer targets.
