Unavailable since 1971, this publication was originally compiled by
Preston E. Hotz and includes details on the lode mining districts
of Oregon and California's Klamath Mountains. Included are details
on the geology, history and important lode mines of the French
Gulch, Deadwood, Whiskeytown, Shasta, Redding, Muletown, South
Fork, Old Diggings, Dog Creek (Delta), Bully Choop (Indian Creek),
Harrison Gulch, Hayfork, Minersville, Trinity Center, Canyon Creek,
East Fork, New River, Denny, Liberty (Black Bear), Cecilville,
Callahan, Yreka, Fort Jones and Happy Camp mining districts in
California, as well as the Ashland, Rogue River, Applegate,
Illinois River, Takilma, Greenback, Galice, Silver Peak, Myrtle
Creek and Mule Creek districts of South Western Oregon. Also
included are insights into the mineralization and other
characteristics of this important mining region. Note: This edition
