"Gramps Variety of Stories" takes you back to the time of the Great
Depression, country schools and rural life. Others will bring you
to the present time and the changes in the way of life. The stories
show that family love was present no matter in which generation you
lived. Santa and Christmas make several appearances throughout the
book. Little Toot, the toy train, and Wayne the Elf, take another
trip to the North Pole with two kindergarten classes. This trip
shows the generosity of the children. There are stories about
sickness and disease, which confronts children, such as eating too
many green apples and the dreaded polio. One story delves into the
disorder now known as Ataxia. It was written to make the general
public aware that there is such a disorder and it is real. Some of
the stories show the mischievousness of children and also their
ingenuity. Put all these together and you have a book of "Gramp's
