It was the late 60's and early 70's and June's way of life was the
way that most young girls go when they are coming of age.
She was at that age when boundaries are tested, the meaning of
freedom explored, and the values she had grown up with, questioned.
Together with her friends, the moral and ethical issues of their
situation as white South Africans became more complicated and the
problem of loyalties, because of peer pressure, had to be uneasily
addressed.
The complex mixture of South African politics, religion and the
drug culture, did not help June's failing view on life.
It was only when she experienced a dynamic encounter with God that
everything seemed to make sense at last.
