Basic Linguistic Theory provides a fundamental characterization of

work, considers underlying principles of grammatical organization,
and has chapters devoted to the word, nouns and verbs, adjectives,
transitivity, copula constructions, pronouns and demonstratives,
possession, relative clauses and complementation. Basic Linguistic
