To better understand how strong worker protection systems differ
from weak ones, this volume reports and interprets a study carried
out in six nations-Sweden, Finland, The German Democratic Republic,
The Federal Republic of Germany, The United Kingdom of Great
Britain and Northern Ireland, and the United States of America. The
work involved interviews with reputational leaders of different
interest groups as well as observations, extensive document study
and correspondence with key informants.
