social ecology of African mammals. Dr. Estes is an Associate
Professor of Mammalogy at the Museum of Comparative Zoology at
Harvard University and the chairman of the World Conservation
Union's Antelope Specialists' Group. He lives in Peterborough, New
Hampshire.
