PROMOTION TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please read these Promotion terms and conditions (?Terms and Conditions) carefully.
Participation in this Promotion will constitute your agreement to comply with these
Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, please do
not participate in this Promotion. Please refer to this website for the current Terms and

All participants during the term of this Promotion agree to be bound by the following terms and
conditions:

1. Promotion:
The Samsung Buy & Get 2019 Promotion (?Promotion?). The Organiser of the Promotion
is Samsung Electronics South Africa (Proprietary) Limited, Registration number:
1994/003872/07 and/or its agencies ("Organiser").

2. Promotion Period:
2.1. The Promotion will run from Monday 21 October 2019 [00h01] to Tuesday 31
December 2019 [23h59] (?the Promotion Period?), in South Africa.
2.2. The duration of the Promotion may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the
Organiser.
2.3. Promotion is valid while stock lasts and delivery of qualifying products must have
taken place to the participant by Tuesday 31 December 2019.

3. To enter all participants must:
3.1. be citizens of the Republic of South Africa and/or legal residents of the aforesaid
country;
3.2. be currently residing in the Republic of South Africa;
3.3. be natural persons and be at least 18 (eighteen) years old at the date of the
commencement of the Promotion Period;
3.4. be a natural person and not a juristic entity, which juristic entity includes, but is not
limited to a Business to Business [B2B] partner, cross border partner or retail partner
and
3.5. purchase in the participant?s own name any of the products listed in the table at clause
6.1 below (?the Qualifying Products?) through a participating retailer in South Africa
during the Promotion Period.

4. How to qualify for the Promotion:
4.1. The participants must purchase any of the Qualifying Products as listed in clause 6.1
below.
4.2. All purchases must be made through a participating retail store in South Africa during
the Promotion Period [for a full list of the selected authorized participating
retailer, please visit www.samsung.com/za/offer].
4.3. All participants must retain the proof of purchase relating to the purchase of their
Samsung Qualifying Products to redeem the corresponding Reward.

5. Can I qualify more than once for the Offer:
5.1. For each purchase of a Qualifying Product as set out in clause 6.1 made during the
Promotion Period, the participant shall qualify once for the Offer.
5.2. Should there be any dispute in this regard, the Organiser shall be sole adjudicator of
the dispute and the Organiser?s decision shall be final.

6. Offer:
6.1. The Promotion will afford the participant an opportunity to redeem the following offer
for each purchase of any of the Qualifying Products listed below through a
participating retailer in South Africa during the Promotion Period (?Offer?):

6.2. There are 3 (three) Tiers [Blue, Silver, Gold] of reward levels and 4 (four) rewards for
each Tier which the participant can choose one from, namely, Accommodation,
Flight/s, Sorbet or Mr D Food (?Rewards?). For relevant Rewards breakdown, please
refer to table under clause 6.3, Step 5 below.
6.3. To redeem the selected reward, the participant must do the following:
Step 1 ? participant SMS: Upon purchase of a Qualifying Product within the
Promotional Period, the participant receives proof of purchase from the participating
retailer and then the Participant must send a SMS with the product model code which
will be as per the corresponding code in the table above in 6.1 or on the actual product
itself to 45843 [SMS is charged at R1.50 - free SMSs or minutes do not apply], by 31
December 2019 to validate the Reward registration. Any SMSs that have not been
sent and received by the Organiser by 31 December 2019 will be null and void and the
Reward will be forfeited.
It is the participant?s responsibility to ensure that they receive a SMS response within
48 hours of entering the promotion. In the event that no response is received, the
participant is required to contact the Organiser on 087 056 2156 by 12 January 2020
and provide proof of entry prior to the promotion end date. If the participant does not
follow this process and does not receive a response, their entry will not be considered.
If the Organiser has not received this request, the Organiser will assume that the
participant has received a response. Any participant who has unsubscribed from
receiving marketing SMSs will not receive the SMS and it is the participant?s
responsibility to notify the Organiser. The Organiser cannot be held responsible for
SMSs not received by participants.
Step 2 ? Online Form: The participant will receive a responding SMS and a link to
an online form. Upon receiving the responding SMS, the participant will be required
to complete the online form and utilize the image upload mechanic to attach a copy of
their proof of purchase indicating the product that they purchased, as well as a
photograph of the serial number on the product [not on the box] they have purchased.
The participant must have taken delivery of their product by Tuesday 31 December
2019 and completed Step 1 above. All online form submissions must be completed
by 23h59 on Monday 20 January 2020. Any online forms that have not been
completed by 23h59 on 20 January 2020 will be null and void and the Reward will be
forfeited. It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure their online submission is
complete in all respects.
Step 3 ? Reward Registration Pin: Once the participant has completed the online
form process, the contents of their entry will be evaluated and if all content is correct,
their entry will be verified and the participant will be sent a pin code (?Reward
Registration Pin Code?) via SMS with a Concierge Service contact telephone number
to call when ready to book the corresponding Reward as per clause 6.2 The
verification period will take ten (10) working days from the date of the online form
submission. If the contents of the participant?s online form submission have been
received and found incorrect/ incomplete for whatever reason, the participant will not
receive their Reward Registration Pin Code. The responsibility to provide the correct
information rests with the participant.
Step 4 ? Reward Redemption Form: When the participant calls the Concierge
Service, they will be asked to quote their Reward Registration Pin Code which they
received via SMS. A form (?Reward Redemption Form?) will be emailed to the
participant for them to complete and return confirming chosen Reward.
Once the Reward Redemption Form has been received by the Concierge Service, the
participant will receive a voucher (?Reward Voucher?) via SMS within 10 (ten) working
days.
Step 5 ? Reward Voucher Redemption: The participant will be required to contact
the service provider [British Airways, kulula.com or Protea Hotel by Marriott®] as
stated on the Reward Voucher SMS for Accommodation and Flight Rewards and
redeem Sorbet and Mr D Food Rewards via the dedicated web address as stated in
the Reward Voucher SMS. The participant will be required to book their Reward 4
[four] weeks in advance for the Flights and Accommodation Rewards. For Sorbet and
Mr D Food, the participant will be credited with a voucher allocation each month
(Monthly Voucher Allocation), the value of which will be relative to the value of their
tier, for a period of 12 (twelve) months as per the table below. A copy of the
participant?s ID document may need to be submitted when making their booking.

6.4. The participant has 1 [one] year from the date of the Allocation Reward Registration
Pin Code is issued to redeem and book the Reward or the Reward will be forfeited.
6.5. The actual Flights and Accommodation travel, must be completed by 31 July 2021,
failing which the Reward will be forfeited and the participant shall not have any claim
against the Organiser as a result thereof. All bookings for the Flights and
Accommodation Rewards must be made 4 [four] weeks in advance.
6.6. For the Sorbet and Mr D Food Rewards, the participant will be allocated Rand
denominated vouchers (Monthly Voucher Allocation) each month as per the table
above in Step 5 of clause 6.3. Each month for a period of 12 (twelve) months the
participant will be required to log into the Reward Redemption Platform with the
unique code found in the Reward Voucher SMS. At this point the participant will be
able to pull vouchers in R100 or R200 denominations up to their maximum Monthly
Voucher Allocation. On the first day of the month for a period of twelve (12) months a
new Monthly Voucher Allocation will be activated for the participant to redeem. Any
vouchers not redeemed in the previous month will be forfeited. In the event that a
participant is allocated their Reward Voucher SMS on any day other than the first day
of a month, that month?s voucher will only be valid until the last day of that particular
month. The Monthly Voucher Allocation process will begin from the date that the first
Reward Voucher SMS is issued and will be valid for 1 [one] year or until 31 July 2022
whichever is the former, or the Reward will be forfeited.
6.7. This Reward is provided at the sole discretion of the Organisers. Every time a
participant purchases a Qualifying Model as per clause 6.1, they are entitled to
redeem the corresponding Reward once they have followed the entry instructions as
listed in clause 5. The Organisers accept no responsibility should point of sale

communication materials be placed on the incorrect or non-qualifying products or any
other communication materials concerning this promotion. All Rewards are based
exclusively on clause 6.1 above, per Qualifying Product.
6.8. The Reward is not transferable and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or
anything else. In no way can this Reward be deducted off the product purchase price
in any retailer.
6.9. Only the purchaser of the product, will be allowed to register for the Reward and
redeem the Reward. The Reward cannot be transferred to anyone other than the
purchaser of the product.
6.10. Participants will not be allowed to choose more than one Reward per voucher and
Rewards are not interchangeable. Once a Reward has been chosen via the Reward
Redemption Form the participant will not be able to swop out or change their Reward
choice.

7. The Accommodation Reward
7.1. The Accommodation Reward entitles the participant plus 1 [one] guest to a
complimentary ?BONUS BREAK? two-night stay at any participating Protea Hotels by
Marriott® [Blue Reward], Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! by Marriott® [Silver Reward] or
African Pride [Gold Reward Tier] depending on the Tier Offer. Bookings may only be
made on the ?BONUS BREAK? package and no other class of accommodation. This
?BONUS BREAK? two-night stay has the following conditions:
7.1.1 Accommodation only for 2 [two] people for 2 [two] nights in a standard room
only.
7.1.2 The Reward excludes the following: Laundry charges, landline calls made
from the hotel room, mini bar charges, transport to and from the participant?s
home and the hotel, in house movies, entertainment, travel insurance, travel,
spending money, all meals and alcohol and any other incrementals. These
costs will be for the participant?s own expense. All costs incurred during the
stay will be charged to the participant when they check-out, excluding costs
covered by the Organiser.
7.1.3 No upgrades will be allowed.
7.1.4 Bookings are subject to availability at time of booking.
7.1.5 Only 1 [one] voucher may be used per booking.
7.1.6 Only 1 [one] booking per voucher is allowed.
7.1.7 All bookings must be made 4 [four] weeks prior to the check-in date.
7.1.8 One of the guests staying must be the person who purchased the product
and the Reward cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
7.1.9 Two nights must be taken consecutively at the same hotel.
7.1.10 The booking confirmation must be presented at the hotel on arrival for check
in. The Organiser and its agents cannot accept any liability for any failure to
present proof of confirmation at check in by the participant, which may result
in refusal to accept the reservation.
7.1.11 Cancellations or changes after confirmation of booking will not be permitted.
7.1.12 Bookings may only be made on the ?BONUS BREAK? package and no other
class of accommodation.
7.2 The accommodation Reward is based on availability of the pre-negotiated ?BONUS
BREAK? packages at the respective hotels concerned. The participant can only book
on a ?BONUS BREAK? package. Publically advertised availability does not recognize
or refer to these pre-negotiated packages and is therefore not applicable to this
promotion. Prices and packages given by the hotel or displayed in the press or any
other website, may differ to those provided on the Reward.
7.3 The participant Reward Redemption Form must be completed and emailed back to
the email address provided as a pre-requisite for the Reward to be claimed. Forms
that are not received within one year of the Reward Registration Pin Code being
issued will not be considered and the Reward will be forfeited.
7.4 A Protea Hotel by Marriott® voucher code will be allocated to the participant via SMS.
[Any participant who has unsubscribed from receiving marketing SMSs will not
receive the SMS and it is the participant?s responsibility to notify the Organiser on
087 056 2156. The Organiser cannot be held responsible for SMSs not received by
participants.
7.5 Once the Protea Hotel by Marriott® voucher has been received by the participant,
they will be required to book their accommodation online via the dedicated Samsung
Protea Hotel by Marriott® website. This is the only platform on which bookings for
this promotion can be made. No direct contact, telephonic, email or otherwise with
individual hotels, other websites or head office is permitted. The participant will only
be able to book at the hotels available on this website on available dates. The web
address will be provided to the participant when they have received their Reward
voucher via SMS.
7.6 The Protea Hotel by Marriott® BONUS BREAK packages are subject to Protea Hotel
by Marriott?s® regular terms and conditions, which are subject to change, unless
otherwise specified in this section.

8 The Flight Reward
8.1 The Flight Reward consists of a return flight booked on British Airways [BA] or
kulula.com [kulula] subject to availability, entitling the participant to a R4000 flight
voucher [Blue Reward Tier], R7000 flight voucher [Silver Reward Tier] or R12000
flight voucher [Gold Reward Tier] depending on the respective Tier, with the following
conditions:
8.1.1 Flights are for local destinations within South Africa only, on any 1 [one] of
the national BA or kulula prescribed flight routes.
8.1.2 The participant must complete the Reward Redemption Form and email it
back to the email address provided as a pre-requisite for the Reward to be
claimed. Forms that are not received within 1 [one] year of the Reward
Registration Pin Code being issued will not be considered and the Reward
will be forfeited.
8.1.3 A Comair voucher code will be allocated to the participant via SMS. [Any
participant who has unsubscribed from receiving marketing SMSs will not
receive the SMS and it is the participant?s responsibility to notify the
Organiser on 087 056 2156. The Organiser cannot be held responsible for
SMSs not received by participants.
8.1.4 All bookings must be made directly with the kulula work head office on the
number provided to the participant, at which point the participant will provide
the kulula work head office with their Comair voucher code. All bookings are
based on availability at time of booking and can only be made via the kulula
work head office and no other channel. Once the Comair voucher has been
received by the participant, they will be required to phone the kulula work
head office to book their flight/s. The kulula work contact number will be
provided to the participant when they have received their Reward voucher
via SMS.
8.1.5 All bookings must be made 4 [four] weeks prior to the departure date.
8.1.6 In the case when using 1 [one] voucher to book for more than 1 [one] person,
all flights need to be taken simultaneously, with all passengers, flying to the
same destination, on the same flight. Flights cannot be split across multiple
flight routes, dates or people.
8.1.7 One of the travelers must be the person who purchased the product and the
Reward cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
8.1.8 Flights are subject to limited availability. In the event that dates requested
are not available, the participant will be required to provide alternative dates.
8.1.9 This Reward operates on an e-ticket system and presentation of an ID
document will be required when checking in.
8.1.10 Any additional charges over and above the value of the participant?s
voucher, or arising from additional passengers will be for the participant?s
own account.
8.1.11 Should the full value of the voucher not be used for the booking, the
participant will forfeit the remaining value of the voucher.
8.1.12 Cancellations or flight changes after confirmation of booking will not be
permitted.
8.1.13 The Organiser and its agencies cannot be held liable for any changes to
flight schedules, routes and destinations or loss of baggage.
8.1.14 Comair vouchers codes cannot be used in conjunction with any other
promotional Rewards.
8.1.15 Comair vouchers are subject to Comair?s regular terms and conditions,
which are subject to change, unless otherwise specified in this section.

9 The Mr D Food Reward
9.1 The Mr D Food Reward entitles the participant to Mr D Food vouchers up to the
maximum value of R4000 [Blue Tier], R7000 [Silver Tier] or R12000 [Gold Tier] per
respective Tier.
9.2 These Rewards are subject to the following conditions:
9.2.1 Multiple Mr D Food orders may be placed up to the maximum value of the
Mr D Food Reward per Tier provided .
9.2.2. A Mr D Food voucher code will be allocated to the participant via SMS. [Any
participant who has unsubscribed from receiving marketing SMSs will not
receive the SMS and it is the participant?s responsibility to notify the
Organiser on 087 056 2156. The Organiser cannot be held responsible for
SMSs not received by participants.
9.2.3 The participant will be required to redeem their Mr D Food coupons via a
web address which will be provided to the participant when they received
their Reward voucher via SMS. The individual Mr D Food coupons will be
sent to the participant?s choice of mobile phone number or email address
once they log onto the web address and choose their voucher denomination.
Refer to step 5 of clause 6.3 and clause 6.6 for the monthly coupon value
breakdown of the Monthly Voucher Allocation.
9.2.4 Individual Mr D Food coupons will be available in denominations of R100
and R200 only.
9.2.5 Only one individual Mr D Food coupon may be used per purchase.
9.2.6 Should the full value of an individual Mr D Food coupon not be used on an
order, the participant will forfeit the remaining value of the individual Mr D
Food coupon.
9.2.7 Should the Mr D Food order be more than the value of an individual Mr D
Food coupon, the participant will be required to pay in the difference of the
cost.
9.2.8 The participant will be required to download the Mr D Food app to use this
Reward.
9.2.9 All Mr D Food orders need to be placed via the Mr D Food App, no telephonic
orders will be permitted.
9.2.10 A delivery fee will be charged on all orders.
9.2.11 Only one coupon may be used per order.
9.2.12 Mr D Food coupons cannot be exchanged for cash.
9.2.13 Mr D Food coupons are subject to Mr D Food?s regular terms and conditions,
which are subject to change, unless otherwise specified in this section.
9.2.14 The monthly voucher allocation process will begin from the date that the first
Reward Voucher SMS was issued and be valid for one year or until 31 July
2022 (whichever is the former). Please refer to clause 6.6 above for monthly
voucher expiry requirements.

10. The Sorbet Reward
10.1 The Sorbet Reward entitles the participant to Sorbet vouchers up to the maximum value
of R4000 [Blue Tier], R7000 [Silver Tier] or R12000 [Gold Tier] per respective Tier.
10.1.1 This Reward is subject to the following conditions:
10.1.2 The voucher is redeemable for treatments and/or products up to the value
of the voucher.
10.1.3 The voucher may not be used for any doctor?s treatments (botox, fillers,
facial threads).
10.1.4 Multiple Sorbet bookings may be made up to the maximum value of the
Sorbet Reward.
10.1.5 A Sorbet voucher code will be allocated to the participant via SMS. [Any
participant who has unsubscribed from receiving marketing SMSs will not
receive the SMS and it is the participant?s responsibility to notify the
Organiser on 087 056 2156. The Organiser cannot be held responsible for
SMSs not received by participants.
10.1.6 The participant will be required to redeem their individual Sorbet voucher via
a web address which will be provided to the participant when they received
their Reward voucher via SMS. These individual Sorbet vouchers will be
sent to the participant?s choice of mobile phone number or email address.
Refer to step 5 of clause 6.3 and clause 6.6 for the monthly coupon value
breakdown of the Monthly Voucher Allocation.
10.1.7 Individual Sorbet vouchers will be available in denominations of R100 and
R200 only.
10.1.8 Multiple Sorbet vouchers may be used per booking/ purchase.
10.1.9 Should the full value of the individual Sorbet voucher not be used on a single
Sorbet booking/ purchase, the remaining value will stay on the voucher until
used.
10.1.10 Should the Sorbet booking/ purchase be more than the value of the individual
Sorbet voucher, the participant will be required to pay in the difference of the
cost.
10.1.11 The monthly voucher allocation process will begin from the date that the first
Reward Voucher SMS was issued and be valid for one year or until 31 July
2022 (whichever is the former). Please refer to clause 6.6 above for monthly
voucher expiry requirements.
10.1.12 The participant will be required to download the Sorbet app to use this
Reward.
10.1.13 All Sorbet bookings/ purchases need to be made via valid at any Sorbet
Salon, Sorbet Drybar, Sorbet Nailbar, Sorbet Man, Sorbet Skin venues or
standalone Candi & Co. nationwide.
10.1.14 Sorbet vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
10.1.15 Sorbet vouchers are subject to Sorbet?s regular terms and conditions, which
are subject to change, unless otherwise specified in this section.

11. Any fraudulent behavior will result in an immediate cancellation of issued Reward
Registration Pin Codes, flight, accommodation, Sorbet or Mr D Food vouchers /coupons
and any flights / accommodation / Sorbet bookings/ purchases / Mr D Food booked/
ordered and the Organisers reserve any rights in law to pursue appropriate compensation
and / or institute criminal proceedings. The Organisers accept no responsibility for
incomplete, lost, misdirected, illegible, late, or altered registrations. Registrations that do
not comply with these Terms and Conditions will be disqualified. The Organisers reserve
the right to investigate any participant?s actions regarding any aspect of the Rewards and
the redemption thereof.

12. Any participant who returns a product purchased during the promotional period forfeits
their Reward accordingly. Regarding the Promotion returns policy, where participants
purchase qualifying products and return these products to the participating retailer, the
following rules will apply:
12.1 A participant returns or exchanges their purchase for any reason whatsoever with
the participating retailer after the registration process of the Reward, the participant
must call the Concierge Service on 087 056 2156 to cancel their registration and
acknowledge that they are no longer able to claim the Reward corresponding to
the product model code returned;
12.2. If the participant has already redeemed the Reward and then returns or exchanges
their purchase, the Organisers reserve the right to claim back the value of the
Reward from the participant.

13. Limitation of Liability:
13.1 To the extent permitted by participant Protection Act and any other applicable law:
13.2 The participant and/or winner(s) hereby indemnifies the Organiser against any
direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages or loss of
any kind regardless of how this was caused, and whether it arose under the law of
contract or delict or otherwise, because of the participants entrance to the
Promotion.
13.3 The Organiser excludes all warranties (express or implied), representations and
liabilities regarding this Promotion (other than for death or personal injury caused
by its negligence and/or fraud).

14. General:
14.1 In accordance with the confidentiality policies and practices of the Organiser,
none of the entry details of any participant in this Promotion will be disclosed or
used by the Organiser for any purposes other than for entry into the Promotion
and in accordance with clause 14.2 below.
14.2 Participants acknowledge and accept that the Organiser shall utilise a third party
(the ?Organiser?s authorized agent/s?) to contact the participant, in the event that
the participant is a winner, and to arrange delivery of the Reward. In order to
affect the contacting and delivery process, the Organiser?s shall provide the
participant?s information to such third party.
14.3 Details of participants will not be used by the Organiser for Samsung related
communication should the participants opt-out to receive further communication
from the Organiser.
14.4 Information regarding the Promotion that is published on authorized advertising
material will also form part of the terms and conditions of the Promotion.
14.5 The Organiser?s may in their sole discretion amend these terms and conditions
at any time, without notice, and such amendments shall be deemed to have taken
effect from the date of publication of the revised terms and conditions on the
Organiser?s website www.samsung.com/za/offer. The onus rests on the
participant to constantly check the website for updates to the terms and
conditions.
14.6 If this Promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted
as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of
the Organiser, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorized
intervention or fraud, the Organiser reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to the
fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify,
suspend, terminate or cancel the Promotion as appropriate, subject to the
approval of relevant regulatory authorities.
14.7 Save as permitted by Law, the Organiser reserves the right to cancel, suspend
or terminate this Promotion, without notice at any time, and such cancellation,
termination or termination shall be deemed to have taken effect from the date of
publication on the Organiser?s website www.samsung.com/za/offer. No liability
shall lie against the Organiser in favour of any participant, winner(s) and/ or third
party arising from such cancellation, suspension or termination. Therefore, the
participant waives his/her right which they may have against the Organiser and
hereby acknowledge that they will have no right of recourse or claim of any nature
whatsoever against the Organiser.
14.8 This Promotion is governed by these terms and conditions, as well as those of
the relevant authorized participating stores, associated with this Promotion.
14.9 Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the Promotion shall be
governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa.
14.10 The Organiser accepts no liability or responsibility, whether occasioned by any
circumstance not foreseeable and not within its reasonable control for late or
delayed delivery of the Reward owing to, but not limited to, stock unavailability,
strike, lock out, destruction of Reward on route by any means, any civil
commotion or disorder, riot, threat of war, any action taken by governmental
authority or public authority of any kind, fire, explosion, storm, flood, earth quake
or other acts of God.
14.11 If part or all of any clause of these Terms and Conditions is illegal, invalid or
unenforceable:
14.11.1 It will be read down to the extent necessary to ensure that it is not illegal,
invalid or unenforceable, but if that is not possible;
14.11.2 It will be severed from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining
provisions of these Terms and Conditions will continue to have full force
and effect.
