In 1932 a recently orphaned boy jumps onto a passing train and enters a world of freaks and misfits in the US circus world.
In a home for the aged, Jacob, now an old man, relives his wonderful life in this world and the unforgettable love affair he finds there.
In the right hands watch the movie of the book, when it is made, make the Oscar carpet.
