This Student Edition has been written for individuals who find themselves in a position to step back and look at where they are going or where they already are as business participants, including those who are directly or indirectly involved in business. Building and Surviving a Successful Career: How we go about building on our careers has much to do with our frame of reference and awareness of the root cause of how we have become participants within business and the value it creates. Whether it is from a job or mercenary perspective (due to our need to make a living and provide for those around us) or as that of advocates who approach their positions with the intensity of avocations, much of what happens has to do about our ideas or perceptions of what our roles should or can be over the lifetime of our career. Therefore, what we end up with as a result of this business activity is up to us. For leaders and participants, the reality is that we attract and maintain others of like ideas and perspectives around us.
