This book describes the most commonly used statistical methods. It
is written at an introductory level. No calculus is used, but some
familiarity with algebra is necessary. It could be used in an
introductory course in statistics or biostatistics. One feature of
the book is that much guidance is given concerning the selection of
statistical methods. In addition, the chapter on categorical data
includes many statistical methods that are not found in most
introductory texts.
