The subect of this book is the philosophical relationship between Ludwig Wittgenstein and G.E. Moore and their overlapping, but nevertheless differing, views. Both defended the existence of certainty and this opposed any forms of skepticism. However, their defences and conceptions of certainty differed widely, as did their understanding of the nature of skepticism and how best to combat it.
