Der Grundsatz der Ernahrungssicherheit ist schon in der Satzung der FAO angelegt: Die Qualitat der Ernahrung und den Lebensstandard zu erhohen, sowie die Produktivitat und Verteilung des Essens und der landwirtschaftlichen Guter zu verbessern damit die Bedingungen der landlichen Bevolkerung verbessert werden und die Menschheit vom Hunger befreit wird 1. Das Konzept der Ernahrungssicherheit wurde 1974 auf der Welternahrungskonferenz wie folgt definiert: Ernahrungssicherheit bedeutet: durchgehender Zugang zu der Anzahl und Vielfalt von sicherer Nahrung, welche von allen Haushaltsmitgliedern benotigt wird um ein aktives und gesundes Leben zu fuhren, ohne das standige Risiko diesen Zugang zu verlieren. Die Kriminalstatistik gibt diesen Menschen grosstenteils recht, da der uberwiegende Teil der Gewaltverbrechen von Mannern begangen wird. Doch ist es wirklich moglich, von diesen Fakten aus auf eine hohere Aggressivitat von Mannern zu schliessen, oder besteht vielleicht die Moglichkeit, dass nur das Ausleben der Aggression zwischen Mannern und Frauen differiert und sich dieses in extrem unterschiedlichen Verhaltensweisen manifestiert? Die vorliegende Arbeit befasst sich mit der Fragestellung, ob Manner gewalttatiger sind und generell ein hoheres Aggressionspotential als Frauen besitzen, oder ob Frauen ihre Aggressionen nur nicht so spontan und unmittelbar ausdrucken. Dabei werde ich einen besonderen Schwerpunkt auf die Frage legen, wodurch diese Unterschiede determiniert werden bzw. warum Manner haufiger Gewalt als Frauen anwenden. In Abschnitt eins werde ich zunachst eine Definition der Grundlegenden Begriffe Gewalt und Aggression vornehmen. In Abschnitt zwei soll eine differenzierte Betrachtung der unterschiedlichen Ausdrucksformen von Aggression und Gewalt bei Mann und Frau erfolgen. Dem schliesst sich der dritte Teil an, in dem die verschiedenen Theorien kritisch betrachtet und verglichen werden.
