This volume on athletic injury is timely because it addresses many
types of sports injuries and focuses not only on the treatments of
these injuries, but also their prevention. The first paper was
written after an extensive interview with the coaches of one of the
most recognized football programs in the country. Dr. Kevin Chung's
interviews with the Head and Assistant Coaches at the University of
Michigan, Jim Harbaugh and Jedd Fisch, provided thoughtful insight
on preventing sports injuries in the professional and college
athletics.

Fast-paced action movie starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Mickey
Rourke. The Courier (Morgan) has earned his nickname through a
remarkable ability to track down individuals and deliver messages
and packages. The Courier is particularly prized, in certain
circles, for his refusal to ask questions or query the legality of
the material he carries. However, when he is handed a package by a
branch of the Russian mafia and asked to deliver it to an
especially notorious underworld figure, The Courier's skills will
be tested to the limit. He believes he has made a breakthrough when
he gets in contact with Maxwell (Mickey Rourke), a former associate
of the elusive figure he is seeking, but how far can Maxwell be
trusted?
Equal parts bone-chilling, wryly funny and deeply political, The Midnight Timetable is a masterful work of literary horror from one of our time's greatest imaginations. 'I inhaled Bora Chung's book of ghost stories and then slept with the light on!' Avni Doshi, author of Burnt Sugar A wild midnight tour of a uniquely brilliant and exquisitely demented world - a world I did not want to leave!' Gerardo Sámano Córdova, author of Monstrilio. In a labyrinthine research facility, where those who open the wrong door might find it's disappeared behind them or that the echoing footsteps they're running from are their own, an unnamed protagonist begins their night shift under the watchful eye of the building's enigmatic senior guard. Each evening, as the fluorescent lights flicker and the silence grows heavier, the guard shares another tale of cursed objects and lives unspooled by vengeance, sorrow or revelation. But these are not mere ghost stories. They're warnings. Lessons. Or, perhaps, confessions. As the nights stretch on and reality frays, our protagonist starts to suspect that the building itself is alive with malevolent intent and that the objects they guard aren't just cursed. They're waiting. Watching. 'Electrifying. A feast of a book. Strange, hypnotic and audacious.' Irenosen Okojie, author of Curandera 'A fascinating novel of shifting realities centred by a steady, humane heart. Bora Chung is a master of concocting dreamscapes that linger.' Marie-Helene Bertino, author of Beautyland 'These ghost stories . . . mist off the page and leave the real world hazy and askew.' Pemi Aguda, author of Ghostroots
The scope and depth of family business research have been quickly
expanding in the last two decades. The editors and contributors to
this book present eight recent studies examining the impact of
external or internal family conditions on the innovation, growth,
and succession of family firms in Asia. By examining the influence
of families on firm behaviors and decisions, researchers have been
pushing the boundaries of this field. As researchers develop a
better understanding of how families influence their businesses,
the family conditions, including the properties and dynamics of
families, have been found to play significant roles in the business
decisions. In addition, globalization as a pressing issue has
brought new opportunities and challenges to families and their
businesses. This volume comprises diverse topics, including less
commonly examined issues such as kinship, immigrant family
enterprises, and family asset management. This book is a rich
resource for researchers, students, and family business
consultants.

In the current scenario of Forensic Science and Criminal
Investigation, experts are facing many challenges due to huge
amounts of data, tiny pieces of evidence in the chaotic and complex
environment, traditional laboratory structures and sometimes
insufficient knowledge which may lead to failure of investigation
or miscarriage of justice. Artificial Intelligence and imaging
technologies are the promising solutions to address these
challenges with case based reasoning for errorless, objective and
reproducible results in various fields of forensics. This book will
not only provide a platform for researchers to present state of the
art technologies, but will be a reference for law enforcement to
use for crime investigation along with researchers in the field .
Explores the role played by missionaries in the twentieth-century
transnational adoption movement Between 1953 and 2018,
approximately 170,000 Korean children were adopted by families in
dozens of different countries, with Americans providing homes to
more than two-thirds of them. In an iconic photo taken in 1955,
Harry and Bertha Holt can be seen descending from a Pan American
World Airways airplane with twelve Asian babies-eight for their
family and four for other families. As adoptive parents and
evangelical Christians who identified themselves as missionaries,
the Holts unwittingly became both the metaphorical and literal
parental figures in the growing movement to adopt transnationally.
Missionaries pioneered the transnational adoption movement in
America. Though their role is known, there has not yet been a full
historical look at their theological motivations-which varied
depending on whether they were evangelically or ecumenically
focused-and what the effects were for American society, relations
with Asia, and thinking about race more broadly. Adopting for God
shows that, somewhat surprisingly, both evangelical and ecumenical
Christians challenged Americans to redefine traditional familial
values and rethink race matters. By questioning the perspective
that equates missionary humanitarianism with unmitigated cultural
imperialism, this book offers a more nuanced picture of the rise of
an important twentieth-century movement: the evangelization of
adoption and the awakening of a new type of Christian mission.
