"The Crazy Untamable, Tamable Tongue" takes children on the one-day journey of a young boy who doesn't think before he speaks. The boy narrates the story, telling about the day that his tongue went crazy when his mouth got lazy. It is intended to make children laugh, relate, feel (helplessness, forgiveness, compassion and joy), emphasize, learn, think, and question. The boy goes on to tell about an insightful and merciful friend from church, who comes along to help him regain control of his increasingly untamable tongue. She embraces a teachable moment and makes reference to James 3:1-12 and the book of Proverbs, summarizing some of its contents.
