During the making of his previous documentary 'Soundtrack to War', director George Gittoes asked US soldier Elliot Lovett how it felt to be in Iraq getting shot at. Elliot's reply was: 'Man, I get shot at less here in Baghdad than at home in Miami'. The comment sparks Gittoes imagination. He heads to Brownsville, Miami to find out what is so bad about 'Brown Sub' that would make Baghdad during the height of the second Iraq war feel safer. What he finds makes the world in Eminem/50 Cent tunes look like a cartoon.
