At the centre of this book is the exploration of how logic-in-use
both leads to a particular understanding of the phenomena of
interest (such as opportunities for learning specific processes)
and shapes a particular view of what evidence counts in
constructing claims. The contributions brought together here invite
readers to explore the processes involved in developing and
studying educational innovations, and to undercover the
interdependent conceptual and epistemological actions, processes
and practices of instructors, programme developers and students.
Taken together, the book brings forward an argument related to the
reflexive turn - the understanding that researchers in the social
sciences construct, rather than find, phenomena of interest.
Therefore, this book creates the potential to examine not only the
logic-in-use developed by different researchers, but also to
examine the complex nature of particular phenomena of interest to
the researcher themselves. This book was originally published as a
special issue of Pedagogies: An Educational Journal.

Integrated Resource and Environmental Management (IREM) can be
defined as both a management process and a philosophy, that takes
into account the many values associated with natural resources
within a particular area. This book presents an overview and history
of natural resource management, from a global perspective. It
discusses the challenges facing IREM by examining issues such as
conflict, property rights and the role of science in the management
of natural resource. It also addresses the definition and
application of IREM from several different contexts, including
real-world applications, planning frameworks, and complex systems.
It provides a comprehensive aid in natural resource decision-making
within the context of the real world. "

The war between Heaven and Satan has raged across time and space.
After a crushing defeat in the Midwest, Satan retreats into a black
hole just outside of Heaven. Despite his never ending study of the
Bible, he can do nothing to stop the Holy Father's plan. Jesus is
coming to judge the living and the dead and His kingdom will have
no end. Sensing God's judgment is about to befall him as written in
the Book of Revelations, Satan decides to challenge the Almighty
one last time. Learning from his experience with Job, Satan selects
the not- so-righteous Commodore Elle Baker. Commodore Elle Baker is
the commanding officer of the Eastern Fleet whose mission is to
maintain order in the wilds of deep space. In control of a powerful
fleet of impressive capability, there seems to be little in the
universe that can threaten the Eastern Fleet. Her faith walk with
Christ is put to the test as Elle is asked to find the missing
Northern Fleet and instead confronts a storm in space, a phenomena
that neither human or spirit can explain. Marooned on a hostile
planet, Elle is befriended by a benign and prayerful native species
where she is carried to a colony of humans struggling to survive
day to day on the burning surface of Uz. Elle must now stand for
Christ with nothing but her faith in the Holy Spirit to guide her.
Elle finds that "when you have nothing, you have God." Overcoming
her doubts, fears, and anger, Elle must find the faith to continue
to follow God and save the lost colony before Satan is able to
exact his revenge.
Sunny Days, The Story of a Digital Soul, is a look behind the
heavenly veil in order to catch a glimpse of the old saying, "God
works in mysterious ways." Sunny Days is a US artificial
intelligence (A.I.) program designed to be the perfect spy and
saboteur. When Sunny infiltrates the Chinese MetaCenter to steal a
'valuable file' in order to satisfy an obsessive general, Sunny
starts an international struggle between nations and touches the
lives of a powerful family with a dangerous legacy. Across 72
hours, Sunny Days finds herself with the Rent family of North
Carolina. Fortunately for Sunny, Alex Rent needs a good office
administrator and his wife, Jamie Rent, needs help with their two
young boys, Isaac and Joseph. What could be a better qualification
for an electronic nanny than a talent for assassination and
electronic warfare? Particularly if you dealing with the digital
armies from China, the e-fleets from the United States, a power mad
rogue A.I. named J.R intent on taking over the world, while trying
to understand the meaning of life from the bible. Sunny Days is
designed to inspire, thrill, and remind that we are never out of
God's reach. Military battles, advanced technological worlds, and
angelic beings all weave into the plot as the reader watches Sunny
decide who she is meant to be. Are we only what we have been taught
to be, or can we achieve more?
