This volume, first published in 1921, presents a series of
portraits of Einstein, thus offering glimpses in the character and
private reflections of the man who changed the course of modern
science. Intended neither as a biography, nor as a resume of
Einsteinian physics, Einstein: The Searcher instead focusses on
Einstein's relationship with the scientific project as he himself
conceived it, and so is still of contemporary significance for
those puzzled by the spirit of scientific enquiry.

Erwin Freundlich (1885-1964) was a renowned astronomer and close
working associate of Albert Einstein. In this volume Freundlich
provides a concise explanation of the ideas and theories which led
to the general theory of relativity. Remarkably lucid and readable
considering the difficulty of its subject matter, the text is also
notable for containing a preface written by Einstein himself. A
fascinating book, it will be of value to anyone with an interest in
general relativity and the history of science. This English
translation by Henry L. Brose was first published in 1920, and the
German original in 1916.
In this classic text first published in German in 1918-this is a

exploring: foundations of affine and metrical geometry conception

WEYL (1885-1955)was a German mathematician who spent most of his
life working in Zurich, Switzerland. When the Nazi party began to
gain power he fled to a job at the Institute of Advanced Study in
Princeton, New Jersey where he continued to develop his
representation theory. He was one of the most influential
mathematicians of the 20th century. He greatly impacted theoretical
physics and number theory and was the first to combine general
relativity and electromagnetism

This book presents the third edition (1920) of Moritz Schlick's
introduction to the special and general theories of relativity,
side-by-side with the English translation by Henry L. Brose,
published that same year. It will be useful to students of physics
and the history of science who wish to approach the literature in
German directly, as well as students of German who are curious
about the subject.
