Quantum Computation and Information - From Theory to Experiment (Hardcover, 2006 ed.): Hiroshi Imai, Masahito Hayashi Quantum Computation and Information - From Theory to Experiment (Hardcover, 2006 ed.)
Hiroshi Imai, Masahito Hayashi
R6,485 Discovery Miles 64 850 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

This book reviews selected topics charterized by great progress and covers the field from theoretical areas to experimental ones. It contains fundamental areas, quantum query complexity, quantum statistical inference, quantum cloning, quantum entanglement, additivity. It treats three types of quantum security system, quantum public key cryptography, quantum key distribution, and quantum steganography. A photonic system is highlighted for the realization of quantum information processing.

R1,743 Discovery Miles 17 430 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

The abstracts and papers in this volume were presented at the Fifth Annual International Computing and Combinatorics Conference (COCOON '99), which was held in Tokyo, Japan from July 26 to 28, 1999. The topics cover most aspects of theoretical computer science and combinatorics pertaining to computing. In response to the call for papers, 88 high-quality extended abstracts were submitted internationally, of which 46 were selected for presentation by the p- gram committee. Every submitted paper was reviewed by at least three program committee members. Many of these papers represent reports on continuing - search, and it is expected that most of them will appear in a more polished and complete form in scienti c journals. In addition to the regular papers, this v- ume contains abstracts of two invited plenary talks by Prabhakar Raghavan and Seinosuke Toda. The conference also included a special talk by Kurt Mehlhorn on LEDA (Library of E cient Data types and Algorithms). The Hao Wang Award (inaugurated at COCOON '97) is given to honor the paper judged by the program committee to have the greatest scienti c merit. The recipients of the Hao Wang Award 1999 were Hiroshi Nagamochi and Tos- hide Ibaraki for their paper \An Approximation for Finding a Smallest 2-Edge- Connected Subgraph Containing a Speci ed Spanning Tree".

R1,705 Discovery Miles 17 050 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 8th International Symposium on Algorithms and Computation, ISAAC'97, held in Singapore in December 1997. The 42 revised full papers presented were selected from a total of 98 submissions. The scope of the volume spans the whole area of algorithms from discrete mathematics and complexity theory to algorithms design and evaluation in a variety of applicational areas. Among the topics addressed are scheduling and logistics, networking and routing, combinatorial optimization, graph-computations, algorithmic learning, computational geometry, etc.

R1,729 Discovery Miles 17 290 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

This is the proceedings of the SIGAL International Symposium on Algorithms held at CSK Information Education Center, Tokyo, Japan, August 16-18, 1990. SIGAL (Special Interest Group on Algorithms) was organized within the Information Processing Society of Japan in 1988 to encourage research in the field of discrete algorithms, and held 6-8 research meetings each year. This symposium is the first international symposium organized by SIGAL. In response to the call for papers, 88 papers were submitted from around the world. The program committee selected 34 for presentation at the symposium. The symposium also included 5 invited lectures and 10 invited presentations. The subjects of the papers range widely in the field of discrete algorithms in theoretical computer science. Keywords for these subjects are: computational geometry, graph algorithms, complexity theory, parallel algorithms, distributed computing, and computational algebra.
