Joker: Folie à Deux finds Arthur Fleck institutionalised at Arkham awaiting trial for his crimes as Joker. While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love, but also finds the music that's always been inside him.

Private Detective Doc Sportello (Phoenix) is happily getting on with his life when his ex-wife Shasta (Katherine Waterston) shows up at his office with a story that her billionaire boyfriend Mickey Wolfmann (Eric Roberts)'s wife is plotting to kidnap her husband and get him committed to a psychiatric facility so that she can stake a claim on his money. As Doc reluctantly takes on the case he pays a visit to tight-fisted cop Bigfoot Bjornsen (Brolin) to see what he knows about the alleged kidnap victim. The all-star cast also includes Reese Witherspoon, Owen Wilson, Benicio Del Toro and Martin Short.
