With the increasing penetration of renewable energy and distributed energy resources, smart grid is facing great challenges, which could be divided into two categories. Also included is a statistical analysis of the record of the PRC's judicial system, based on 38,000 cases of arrests, detentions, and sentences reported in the Chinese press. The authors assert that human rights violations were more serious during the Cultural Revolution than at any other time in recent history, although the situation did not receive much attention in the world press or among human rights advocates. In 2004, the microelectronics industry quietly ushered in the Nanoelectronics Era with the mass production of sub-100nm node devices. The current leading-edge semiconductor chips in mass production - the so-called 90nm node devices - have a transistor gate length of less than 50nm. This innovative book uses the lens of cultural history to examine the development of medicine in Qing dynasty China. Focusing on the specialty of "medicine for women"("fuke"), Yi-Li Wu explores the material and ideological issues associated with childbearing in the late imperial period. She draws on a rich array of medical writings that circulated in seventeenth- to nineteenth-century China to analyze the points of convergence and contention that shaped people's views of women's reproductive diseases. These points of contention touched on fundamental issues: How different were women's bodies from men's? What drugs were best for promoting conception and preventing miscarriage? Was childbirth inherently dangerous? And who was best qualified to judge? Wu shows that late imperial medicine approached these questions with a new, positive perspective.
