En 1998 con el cambio en la administracion rectoral y cambio en la direccion de la Facultad de Psicologia Campus Poza Rica- Tuxpan, se llevo a cabo un diagnostico preliminar; con base en el cual se implemento un modelo organizacional. A partir de este, se detectaron una serie de problemas generados por las inadecuaciones de la estructura organizacional para adaptarse a los retos que enfrentaba la educacion superior. Con la intencion de solucionar la problematica se planteo como objetivo, evaluar el efecto producido por la implementacion del modelo organizacional de Malott. Utilizandose como variable independiente dicho modelo, y como variables dependientes fueron todas aquellas consideradas en el area academica de la Facultad de Psicologia como son, la docencia, la investigacion y la extension, consideradas tambien como funciones sustantivas de la Universidad Veracruzana.
