In 'K9 and Company', the pilot from the 'Doctor Who' spin-off series, the Doctor's former companion, Sarah-Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen), arrives to take up residence with her Aunt Lavinia at the village of Moreton. She finds the house deserted apart from a crate marked for her attention, which turns out to contain a gift from the Time Lord: K9 Mark 3. The mechanical dog teams up with Sarah to investigate Aunt Lavinia's disappearance, and together they unearth evidence of witchcraft.

Everyone's favourite time traveller returns to do battle with his greatest foes. Years after his peremptory departure from Totters Lane (see the first ever story, 'Doctor Who: An Unearthly Child'), the Doctor (Sylvester McCoy) returns to 1963 London to discover that the military have been called in to do battle with an alien invasion force at Coal Hill School. The aliens turn out to be none other than the Daleks, whose Emperor wants to obtain a Gallifreyan stellar manipulator - known as the Hand of Omega- which was left in the Doctor's care. However, a group of renegade Daleks are also after the Hand, in league with a fascistic human group. Can the Doctor defeat both Dalek armies and prevent the Hand of Omega being misused?

A second film version (the first was made in 1930) of Erich Maria Remarque's story about a group of idealistic young Germans recruited to fight on the Western Front in 1914. Amongst their number is the patriotic Paul Baumer (Richard Thomas), whose preconceptions are rapidly shattered upon witnessing the horror of life at the front. Ernest Borgnine, Donald Pleasence and Ian Holm also star.

Another adventure for everyone's favourite Time Lord. The Doctor (Jon Pertwee) and Jo (Katy Manning) travel to Stangmoor prison to investigate a machine which can remove evil from the minds of criminals. However, the man behind the scheme - Professor Kellerman - is in fact the Doctor's arch-nemesis, the Master (Roger Delgado), and is planning to disrupt a United Nations peace conference. Inside the Master's machine is an alien parasite which can make people see their greatest fears, and is growing stronger all the time. Can the Doctor stop both the Master and the unearthly parasite?

Richard Jordan and Anthony Perkins star in this made-for-TV adaptation of Victor Hugo's classic novel. Jean Valjean (Jordan) is imprisoned for stealing a loaf of bread for his sister's starving family. Soon afterwards he escapes and is presumed dead by all except police inspector Javert (Perkins), who pursues him relentlessly throughout his lifetime. In later years, when Valjean becomes involved in the French Revolution through his adopted daughter Cosette (Caroline Langrise)'s love for insurrectionist leader Marius (Christopher Guard), his quest for redemption comes to a heady climax.

Another adventure for everyone's favourite time-traveller. The Doctor (William Hartnell), Steven and Dodo land on what initially appears to be a jungle, only to discover that they have arrived on a gigantic spaceship. Ten million years in the future the planet Earth has been engulfed by the Sun, and the survivors are now making their way to the planet Refusis on board their spacecraft, known as the Ark. When Dodo passes on her cold to the humans, who lack the immunity she takes for granted, the TARDIS crew end up on trial for murder.

Austrian commandant Major Otto Hecht (Roger Moore) is carrying out Hitler's orders to loot ancient art treasures on the Greek island of Athena, unaware that local resistance leader Zeno (Telly Savalas) is hatching a plot to defeat him. A group of freedom fighters land on the island to battle the Nazi forces, freeing the slave labour prisoners in the process.
