The proem to Herodotus's history of the Greek-Persian wars relates the long-standing conflict between Europe and Asia from the points of view of the Greeks' chief antagonists, the Persians and Phoenicians. However humorous or fantastical these accounts may be, their stories, as voiced by a Greek, reveal a great deal about the perceived differences between Greeks and others. The conflict is framed in political, not absolute, terms correlative to historical events, not in terms of innate qualities of the participants. It is this perspective that informs the argument of The Art of Contact: Comparative Approaches to Greek and Phoenician Art. Becky Martin reconsiders works of art produced by, or thought to be produced by, Greeks and Phoenicians during the first millennium B.C., when they were in prolonged contact with one another. Although primordial narratives that emphasize an essential quality of Greek and Phoenician identities have been critiqued for decades, Martin contends that the study of ancient history has not yet effectively challenged the idea of the inevitability of the political and cultural triumph of Greece. She aims to show how the methods used to study ancient history shape perceptions of it and argues that art is especially positioned to revise conventional accountings of the history of Greek-Phoenician interaction. In dieser Arbeit werden die Grundgedanken der Interessentheorien u.a. von Andreas Krapp, Hans Schiefele und Manfred Prenzel vorgestellt und in Bezug dazu gestellt, wie wichtig das Interesse bei der Orchesterarbeit ist. Im ersten Kapitel meiner Arbeit erklare ich, was man unter Interesse versteht. Hierbei lege ich Wert auf die Ursprunge und auf die Entwicklung des Interessenbegriffs. Im zweiten Abschnitt werden wichtige Merkmale von Ube- und Lernstrategien dargelegt, die zur Aufrechterhaltung von Interesse entscheidend beitragen. Der Begriff Bogentechnik umfasst alle denkbaren Moglichkeiten, den Bogen auf der Violine zu streichen und ist die Lehre der rechtsarmigen Bewegungsablaufe beim Violinspiel. Neben der Bogentechnik ist die Technik der linken Hand die zweite entscheidende Komponente, die zum Violinspiel benotigt wird. In der Fachliteratur findet man nur wenig umfassendes, fundiertes Material zur Bogentechnik, besonders zum Spiccato. In vielen Buchern uber das Violinspiel, oder konkret uber die Bogenfuhrung, stehen nur sehr kurze Artikel uber das Spiccato, in denen meistens die Strichart Spiccato nur unzulanglich dargestellt wird. Schaut man sich verschiedene Violinschulen fur den Anfangerunterricht heutiger Zeit an, wird man ebenfalls nicht viel mehr Material entdecken. Man wird feststellen, dass sich annahernd jede Schule primar mit der Technik der linken Hand befasst. Bogentechnik scheint im Anfangerunterricht keine bedeutende Rolle zu spielen. Die meisten Schulen begnugen sich damit, dass der Schuler einen einigermassen kratzfreien" Detachestrich lernt und erganzend ein, zwei andere Stricharten. Das Wort Spiccato durchlauft von seiner Entstehung bis heute eine interessante Veranderung und wird mit der Weiterentwicklung des Violinbogens immer bedeutsamer. Uberhaupt ist es sehr interessant zu sehen, wie und warum sich Stricharten entwickelt haben. Dies wird im 2. Kapitel der Arbeit, neben Erlauterungen zur Entwicklung des Violinbogens, ausfuhrlich dargelegt. Der didaktische Aspekt wird im 3. und 4. Kapitel aufgezeigt. Sowohl Korperbewusstsein, als auch okonomische Korperbewegungen gehoren zum Erlernen des Spiccatos dazu, da das Geigenspiel immer die Ganzheitlichkeit des Korpers und der Sinne erfordert.
