Bitz offers a history of the Plainville Turkey Farm, which came into existence in 1923, at a time when turkey meat was a delicacy, not affordable for most Americans, and only available for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

Bitz shares more than 40 amusing and interesting short stories of his early life on a turkey farm.
