Die Praxisrelevanz der Datenverarbeitung (DV) in den Unternehmen der Wirtschaft (Be triebswirtschaften) ist so erheblich, dag die Betriebswirte diesem Fachgebiet ihre besonde re Aufmerksamkeit schenken mussen. Die betriebswirtschaftlichen Abteilungen der Fach hochschulen, an die wir uns speziell richten, aber auch universitare betriebswirtschaftliche Lehrstiihle und andere Lehrinstitutionen (Fachschulen, Akademien usw.), welche fUr die kaufmannische Praxis ausbilden, haben diesen Sachverhalt langst erkannt. In den Lehr inhaiten ist dem Fachgebiet "Datenverarbeitung" (Wirtschaftsinformatik) jedoch bis heu te noch nicht der Stellenwert eingeraumt worden, der ihm auf Grund seiner allgemeinen Bedeutung zustehen mugte. Es wird z. B. eine allgemeine Einfuhrung in die Datenverarbeitung ("EDV Grundlagen" oder ahnliche Vorlesungsbezeichnungen) fur aile Fachhochschul-Studenten wahrend der ersten Semester geboten - ein wiinschenswertes (und notwendiges) tieferes Eindringen in die vielfaitigen betriebswirtschaftlichen EDV-Bezuge ist jedoch nur jenen Studenten mog lich (und das auch nur bedingt), welche das Vertiefungsstudium (Schwerpunktfach) "Or ganisation und Datenverarbeitung" gewahlt haben. Andererseits ist es vordringliche Aufgabe der hier speziell ins Auge gefagten Fachrichtung, in erster Linie das notwendige betriebswirtschaftlich-theoretische Wissen zu vermitteln. Betriebswirtschaftliche Lehrinhalte durfen daher nicht zuriicktreten. Wegen der begrenz ten zur Verfiigung stehenden Unterrichtsstundenzahl sollten die betriebswirtschaftlichen EDV-Anwendungen - obgleich vielfach recht kompliziert - in den Fachunterricht (z. B. Rechnungswesen, Fertigungssteuerung, Revisions- und Wirtschaftspriifungswesen, Perso nalwirtschaft - urn nur einige Facher anzufuhren) mit aufgenommen werden. Der zukunftige betriebswirtschaftliche Fachhochschullehrer mug vor allem fur die Daten verarbeitung offen sein, so wie der Wirtschaftspraktiker die EDV kennen und verstehen lernen mug, urn sie als wirkungsvolle Hilfe einsetzen zu konnen."
