Affiliate Theatre One man's spiritual journey is about to begin...
after he's sent this tweet When Yasser decides to take part in
itikaf, sleeping and fasting in the mosque for the last ten nights
of Ramadan, he soon regrets his decision. But as he navigates smug
worshippers, shared bathrooms, and recurring thoughts of chunky
chips, Yasser's isolation forces him to confront a side of himself
he's been trying to keep hidden. A moving and funny new play by
Shahid Iqbal Khan, 10 Nights is the story of one man's journey of
self-discovery and facing the consequences of your actions.

Wheat is one of the most important domesticated crops grown around
the world. Wheat seed storage proteins represent an important
source of energy in wheat, being involved in determination of bread
making quality. Seed storage proteins are traditionally classified
as gliadins and glutenins. Glutenins are divided into low molecular
weight glutenin subunits (LMW-GS), 30-50KDa and high molecular
weight glutenin subunits (HMW-GS), 80-120KDa. HMW-GSs are encoded
at genes Glu-A1, Glu-B1 and Glu-D1. Although HMW-GSs only occupy
around 10% of wheat seed storage proteins, they play a major role
in bread making quality. A single hexaploid variety could contain 6
HMW-GSs. Protein profiling is the most effective tool for studying
the genetic diversity of HMW-GS in wheat varieties. The objective of
this study was to perform the protein profiling of wheat HMW-GSs of
21 Pakistan's wheat varieties. Different allelic combinations of
Glu-1 loci were identified. At Glu-A1 locus,2*, at Glu-B1
locus,17+18 and 7+8 and Glu-D1 locus,2+12 alleles were dominant in
21 experimental wheat varieties.
Mental illnesses affect people from all social, economic,
geographic, age, gender, religious, and occupational groups. Among
several proactive factors minority status and related stressors are
frequently reported to be linked with elevated mental illness of
minority groups. In Pakistan, Non-Muslims are officially declared
as the minority groups. Non-Muslims generally hold a relatively
non-dominant position in all spheres of life. They abide certain
dissimilarities in many domains like values, languages, customs,
traditions, religious beliefs and practices. Along with their
underprivileged minority status, these dissimilarities and
socio-cultural marginalization may predispose them to encounter
excessive psychological distress which may in turn place them for
high risk of mental health problems. The phenomenon of minority
status and its effects on mental health of Pakistani religious
minority youth is thoroughly unexplored. The present work initiated
to enlighten this imperative theme.
Maize is widely grown cereal crop. It serves three main purposes,
as a food for human consumption, feed for livestock, poultry and
raw material for agro-based industries. It is also utilized as a
commercial crop to manufacture various products due to its highly
nutritive value. Maize require high amount of nutrients for its
growth & development. Thus integrated use of organic &
inorganic sources of nutrients could be higly effective in
improving maize yield. So, a study was conducted to evalute the
effect of different sources of nitrogen on the production potential
of spring maize (Zea mays L.). This book provides a piece of
knowledge for upcoming research in the filed of plant nutrition.
The present study intends to analyze women's autonomy and its
relationship with maternal health care utilization in rural Gujrat,
Pakistan. A survey was conducted in three Union Councils (Doga,
Kernana & Malka) of Tehsil Kharian, District Gujrat. A sample
size of 104 female respondents (delivered a baby having the age
group of 6 weeks to 8 months) was drawn with the help of
multi-stage random sampling technique by collecting sampling frame
from the concerned Union Council Offices. Interview schedule was
developed to collect relevant information from the respondents.
Univeriat tables were generated to show frequency distribution and
percentages. Cross-tabulations were constructed to show the
relationship of different variables. Spearman's rho statistical
test was used to test the hypothesis. There was a positive
association between women's autonomy and maternal health care
utilization.
Wild pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) commonly known as "Daru"
belongs to the family Punicaceae with chromosome number 2n = 16 or
18. The genus is known to include two species; Punica Protopunica
and Punica granatum, the pomegranate.Pomegranate was known as
"malum punica" (Punica apple or apple of carthage) in Europe, while
in Indo-Pak subcontinent it is familiar with the name "Anar."The
pomegranate is one of the oldest known edible fruits. This fruit
tree is one of the species mentioned in the Bible and Holy Quran.
It is native to the Persia and perhaps some surrounding
areas.Present studies were initiated with the view point to explore
the diversity existing among various wild pomegranate populations
in Rawalakot district Poonch with the help of certain
morpho-physiological traits. To determine the association among
different parameters simple correlation coefficient was used,
factor and cluster analysis were used to elaborate the clear
picture of divergence among the traits and amongst the population.
