Seit del' Herausgabe des ersten Heftes del' "Vereinbarungen" sind in dem Mitgliederbestande derVereinigung mehrere Veranderungen zu verzeichnen. Del' Ehrenprasident del' Vereinigung, Geheimer Hofrath Professor Dr. Remigius Fresenius und del' Direktor del' land wirthschaftlichen Versuchsstation zu Colmar i. E., Professor Dr. M. Barth wurden del' gemeinsamen Arbeit durch den Tod ent- rissen. Freiwillig ausgeschieden ist Professor Dr. A. Stutzer (Breslau) wegen Aenderung seines Arbeitsgebietes. Neu eingetreten sind Regierungsrath Professor Dr. von Buchka (Berlin), zugleich als Mit- glied des geschaftsfiihrenden Ausschusses, und Geheimer Regierungs- rath Professor Dr. M. Delbruck (Berlin). Die dritte Plenar-Versammlung del' Vereinigung fand am 5. und 6. August 1897 in Eisenach statt; an derselben nahm ausser den standigcn Mitgliedern nocll del' Chemiker Dr. Metzger aus Nurnberg als Referent flir den Abschnitt Essig Theil. Berathen wurden die Abschnitte Me hI und Brot, Gewurze, Essig, Honig, Thee, Kakao und Chokolade, sowie Tabak. An del' vierten Plenar-Versammlung, die am 2. und 3. November 1898 in Berlin stattfand, nahmen ausser den standigen Mitgliedern Theil: als Referenten del' bayerischen Vereinigung: Ober-Inspektor Dr. Rottger-Witrzburg, Inspektor Dr. Schlegel-Nurnbel'g und Dr. Weigle-Nurnberg; als Mitverfasser einzelner Abschnitte: Professor Dr. Herzfeld (Zucker), Professor Dr. Hintz (Wasser), Regierungsrath Dr. Ohimuller (Wasser), Professor Dr. Reinke (Bier), Professor Dr. Saare (Starkezucker); ausserdem vom Kaiserlichen Gesundheitsamte: Dr. Busse, Dr. Kerp, Dr. Rost. In diesel' Tagung wurde uber die Abschnitte Zucker, Zuckerwaaren, Fruchtsafte und Gelees, Gemuse und Fruchtdauerwaaren, kitnstliche Sussstoffe, Branntweine und Likore, Wasser und Bier Beschluss gefasst.
