Based on the 26 volume book series by Terry Brooks and Executive Produced by Jon Favreau, The Shannara Chronicles is the epic series set in a world thousands of years after the destruction of our civilization.
A year after the events of season one, The Four Lands is in chaos. The re-emergence of magic has the populace terrified, and an organization called The Crimson is hunting down magic users, using fear and intimidation to sow discord among the races.
Wil, scarred by the loss of Amberle and his separation from Eretria, has turned his back on his magical destiny to become a healer. But when a mysterious woman named Mareth saves Wil from a Crimson attack, he is forced to rejoin the fight. After reuniting with Eretria, Wil and Mareth seek out Allanon, only to learn that the Druid’s former protégé, Bandon, is on a mission to resurrect a creature of darkest evil: The Warlock Lord.
Together, our heroes must band together to take down The Crimson and prevent Bandon from unleashing an even greater threat upon the Four Lands, before it’s too late.
When beautiful, young women start disappearing from the streets of LA, it’s time for good-guy Callan (a.k.a. Cross) and his crew of weapons experts to kick into high gear and uncover the mystery.
Granted incredible power by his ancient Celtic cross, Callan must fight to stop an immortal Viking from destroying mankind.

The Expendables
Barney Ross leads the "Expendables", a band of highly skilled mercenaries including knife enthusiast Lee Christmas, martial arts expert Yin Yang, heavy weapons specialist Hale Caesar, demolitionist Toll Road and loose-cannon sniper Gunner Jensen. When the group is commissioned by the mysterious Mr. Church to assassinate the merciless dictator of a small South American island, Barney and Lee head to the remote locale to scout out their opposition. Once there, they meet with local rebel Sandra and discover the true nature of the conflict engulfing the city. When they escape the island and Sandra stays behind, Ross must choose to either walk away and save his own life - or attempt a suicidal rescue mission that might just save his soul.
The Expendables 2
The Expendables are reunited when Mr. Church enlists their help to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them.
Like many, Bobby Austin found his world to be changed forever after
the September 11 attack. In this remarkably meditative reflection,
Austin maintains in I Dream a World that his sense of insecurity is
perhaps a microcosm of the entire world's being less secure and
farther from peace. We all want to know how to find peace and
security during this volatile epoch, he declares. Austin's answer
is that we have to create a new reality if we are to live above
survival level as whole moral individuals. Austin says that the new
world you and I must define begins now. The new world wants to be
born with our help. The deconstruction of the old world and the
construction of the new world are going to affect you, the reader.
Whether you do something to help yourself or just sit there and let
it happen to you, is of course up to you. "I urge you to decide to
do something for yourself and for a new world," urges Austin.
"Let's create together "
The Motor City. The City on the Strait. The Arsenal of Democracy.
Detroit is the city that put the world on wheels. Once the fourth
largest in the country, its streets were filled with bustling
crowds and lined with breathtaking landmarks. Over the years, many
of Detroit's most beautiful buildings--packed with marble, ornate
metalwork, painted ceilings and glitz and glamour--have been
reduced to dust. From the hallowed halls of Old City Hall to the
floating majesty of steamships to the birthplace of the automotive
industry, Dan Austin, author of Lost Detroit and creator of
HistoricDetroit.org, recaptures stories and memories of a forgotten
Detroit, giving readers a glimpse into some of the most stunning
buildings this city has ever known.

Originally published as a political pamphlet in 1848, amidst the
revolutions in Europe, The Communist Manifesto documents Karl Marx
and Friedrich Engels's theories on society and politics. It does so
by defining the state of the class system in contemporary Europe in
which a larger, lower class is controlled and oppressed by a
tyrannical, oppressive upper class. The Manifesto argues that, at
some point in history, the lower class will inevitably realize
their potential and exploitation and subsequently revolt. Once this
occurs, Marx and Engels argue, there will be an uprising among
proletariats that shifts political and economic power, ultimately
resulting in the dismantling of class systems and capitalism.
Additionally, in the Manifesto, Marx and Engels also predict the
future state of the global economy and discuss their viewpoints on
private property, while also addressing many other topics pertinent
to today's world. Although written nearly 170 years ago, The
Communist Manifesto is still widely read and cited. Amid the
current turmoil between social classes and the societies of the
world, its revolutionary prose and ideas can still yield ripe food
for thought.
