One of history's greatest Biblical scholars, E. W. Bullinger proved
through the internal evidence of the Scriptures the inerrant
accuracy of God's Word. His major works: A Critical Lexicon and
Concordance to the English and Greek New Testament; Figures of
Speech Used in the Bible; and The Companion Bible are unparalleled
reference works indispensably utilized in Biblical research. While
Bullinger's major reference works continue to be widely studied,
most people are unfamiliar with the bulk of his publications. This
volume is a collection of twenty-four of his little known, shorter
Biblical studies, covering varied topics which display the detailed
accuracy of the Word of God and provide greater understanding of
our Lord and Savior and what he accomplished for the Christian
believer. Although brief in length, each of these expositions
provide great illumination and inspiration to all those who
continue to seek after truth.
This translation of the Pauline epistles can rightly be included in
the category of Bible translations that strive to achieve both an
accurate rendering of the individual words and the conceptual
meaning transcending the languages. As Arthur S. Way, writes in his
original Preface, ..". I have endeavored to put my readers in the
place of those who first listened to these letters." Sanders, a
classical scholar, translator, and headmaster published
translations of both The Odyssey of Homer, Done into English Verse;
and The Iliad of Homer, as well as works done by some twenty
different Latin and Greek writers. The most important of his works,
though, is this translation of the epistles. Way incorporates a
brief introduction to each of the church epistles, including
background details and in some cases the subjects covered. These
opening expositions further enlighten and guide the reader as they
study the all important letters.
In Victorian England, George Muller daily prayed and relied upon
the Lord alone to provide the food, clothing, and shelter for the
thousands of children in his orphanage. This book is a collection
of his sermons. Covering such topics as "The Twenty-Third Psalm"
and "Trust in the Lord," the reader is enriched with practical
words of comfort and encouragement. Muller shows the depth of the
love of God, he implores people to accept that love and
forgiveness, and he exhorts the believer to walk in His light. The
sermons also recall the proof of God's care for His people as
Muller shares many of the answers to prayers he received over the
years. At the same time, we gain a closer look at the man whose
relationship with God sustained him through the most challenging
times and encouraged him to trust his Lord in every situation.
One of history's greatest Biblical scholars, E. W. Bullinger proved
through the internal evidence of the Scriptures the inerrant
accuracy of God's Word. While Bullinger's major reference works
continue to be widely studied, most people are unfamiliar with the
bulk of his publications. The great wealth of knowledge and
understanding achieved through the in-depth study of the Bible is
conspicuous in this short book, A Biblical Study and Usage of ALSO.
In order for the Word of God to be perfect, the words in the Word
must also be perfect. Beyond that axiom, as originally given, even
the order of the words found within the Word of God were perfect.
The importance of that postulate may be understood by the
examination of this study. As the reader follows the detailed
consideration of this one word throughout the New Testament, new
vistas of understanding will shine.
Renewing the mind is the secret to unleashing the unlimited power
of God in a believer's life. In this book, K. C. Pillai, Doctor of
Divinity and a native of India, draws on his extensive knowledge
and first-hand understanding of Bible customs, manners, and idioms
to uncover great truths concerning scriptures that perplex the
Westerner's mind in this all important area of life. Pillai's
unique insight teaches the reader how to take charge of their lives
by taking care of their thoughts in order to achieve positive
results. As the Christian believer walks with God by keeping these
simple steps, they will find renewed strength and resources to live
the more than abundant life Jesus Christ accomplished for them.
Every serious student of the Bible endeavors to gain the original
thought that was given as holy men of God spake as they were moved
by the Holy Spirit. (The original Word given by God ) II Peter 1:21
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy
men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (KJV) This
is the only way in which an individual can truly know the will of
God with the boldness and confidence to say "Thus sayeth the Lord."
To get to that original Word of God, many things must be
considered. The Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic text must be explored. In
addition, the figures of speech, orientalisms and secular
references must be known. Once all of these fields of knowledge and
disciplines are harnessed into a research team, then the work
begins. Under the leadership and spiritual oversight of Dr. Victor
Paul Wierwille, a research team joined heads and hearts to be
workmen of the Word of God. This research primarily focused on the
seven church epistles. (Those books written directly to and for the
body of believers in the Grace Administration). These books were
Romans, Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians
and Thessalonians. The research team involved various individuals
over a time span of about ten years, while Dr. Victor Paul
Wierwille's research was almost forty-five years in duration. Many
books have been written as a result of this research. One of the
results of this time in study is the "Literal According To Usage."
Definition of "Literal According To Usage" A translation which
reproduces the thoughts and meanings of the original based on the
words in the original in relation to the verse, the context, the
remoter context and to whom it's written. FOREWORD This work is
being presented to help the individual understand the seven church
epistles. It is to aide the workman of the Word in order to stand
approved before God. II Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved
unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly
dividing the word of truth. (KJV) This is by no means the final
edition. As additional work is uncovered, there will be updates.
PLEASE NOTE: The left column is the KJV and the right column is the
corresponding "Literal according to usage."
This book, written by famed international breath therapist William
P. Knowles, sets forth in a straight forward manner his program of
breath training that dramatically improved the health and
well-being of thousands of people. In recent years, numerous
clinical studies have demonstrated the benefits to overall health
and well-being resulting from a regular regimen of breathing
exercises. Long before all of these clinical studies were
conducted, William P. Knowles developed a proven method of breath
therapy. Knowles was employed during World War II by the British
Armed Forces to teach the same techniques to the Royal Air Force.
Today, many enthusiastic practitioners of the Knowles method
continue to enjoy the benefits of health and well-being gained
through breath training. When faithfully carried out, the simple
method taught in this book will provide the reader with energy,
vitality, and renewed strength to resist and fight disease.
