A collection of three adorable kitten stories to treasure, from best-selling author Holly Webb. This collection includes The Perfect Kitten, The Rescued Kitten and The Loneliest Kitten.
The Perfect Kitten: Abi has always wanted a kitten, but her family live on a busy road too dangerous for a cat to go outside. So she is delighted when the shelter rescues a deaf kitten that needs to be kept indoors. But what will happen when the kitten gets bored of staying in?
The Rescued Kitten: When Edie discovers a tiny kitten caught up in barbed wire on the way home from school, she rushes her home to her mum, who’s a vet. Even though Edie’s mum isn’t sure Barbie the kitten is going to make it, Edie is determined to nurse her back to health and find out what has happened to the rest of the litter...
The Loneliest Kitten: Darcy’s new kitten keeps disappearing and she wonders where he could be going. Then when he doesn’t come home one night, Darcy is afraid he might have left for good…
Follow Juney Brown Toes, a young and adventurous Hare, her friends
Slow Freddy and Tufty Thomas, and many others, as they spend a
remarkable 'Mad March' day, racing, chasing and being chased by
friends and enemies alike. What will Juney do when the evil Grey
Hound shows up unexpectedly in the middle of a dangerous 'Hare of
the Dog' game, and will Farmer, and his daughter Samantha, be of
any help to save poor Slow Freddy from the jaws of the Grey Hound!
Hare's have been a fascination of mine for sometime. I've rarely
seen one! I remember walking above Lancaster, my hometown, some
years ago. It was a beautiful, crisp, sunny morning and the ground
was covered in a layer of snow. In nearly every field we walked
through a Hare would bolt from the hedge nearby and race across the
snow covered ground. They were magical to watch, almost alien in
appearance, and completely fascinating to me. I have since done
research on them, and they become more interesting with every new
fact I learn. They are ancient animals, and ever present in
mythologies from around the world. They are low down on the food
chain, and even buck rabbits have been known to kill Leverets now
and then. Speed and stealth are their only defenses, and they have
been clocked at near forty-five miles an hour, one of the fastest
land animals. Anyway I digress, this book is about Hares, it is
primarily written as a 'read to' book, for children of all ages. It
is an adventure/fantasy short story, and Hares are the heroes, with
a little girl taking a strong supporting role. The cherry-wood
carving of the Hare actually exists in my garden, and its origins,
bought from the side of the road from a bodger, are true too.
Otherwise this is a work of fiction written out of a love and
fascination for Hares, I hope you enjoy.

in the making for anyone who ever longed to be WILD. October and
her dad live in the woods. They know the trees and the rocks and
the lake and stars like best friends. They live in the woods and
they are wild. And that's the way it is. Until the year October
turns eleven. That's the year October rescues a baby owl. It's the
year Dad falls out of the biggest tree in their woods. The year the
woman who calls herself October's mother comes back. The year
everything changes. Written in Katya Balen's heart-stoppingly
beautiful style, this book is a feast for the senses. And, as
October fights to find the space to be wild in the whirling chaos
of the world beyond the woods, it is also a feast for the soul.
The third and final book in the best-selling, award-winning ‘Bear
and the Piano’ trilogy.  The first book in the trilogy -
The Bear and the Piano - has sold over 120,000 copies in the UK and
won the Waterstones Children's Book Prize, Illustrated Book
Category for 2016 The Daily Mail - 'Litchfield’s use of light
is unequalled and this is a triumphant last movement in
a great symphony.’ You probably remember the story of the bear
who found the piano in the woods and grew up to become a huge star.
He played his music in front of millions of adoring fans and all of
his wildest dreams came true. But now, the audiences are
smaller, the pianos less grand, and the applause is dying away. So
Bear decides to retire. Back in the woods, he is sad that his
dream is over but he soon has something to distract him: Little
Bear! When Little Bear stumbles upon his piano in the woods, she
can’t believe it when her father says that no one wants to hear
his music anymore. So she comes up with a plan to prove him wrong.
The final book in the award-winning, best-selling trilogy shows
that while fame and fortune might be temporary, the best songs stay
in your heart forever. **Don't miss David Litchfield's other
