Think mid-twentieth-century Baptist evangelism, and the figure that
comes immediately to mind is likely Billy Graham. But far removed
from the glitz and glamor of televised crusades, what did typical
Baptist mission field evangelism and worship really look like? In
this latest volume in the Church at Worship series, Lester Ruth and
Eric L. Mathis draw from a rich selection of primary sources to
immerse readers in the worship life of Conservative Baptists in
northwest Argentina from 1948 to 1964. Combining historical,
theological, and practical perspectives, this book offers a vital
educational resource for Christian ministers engaged in or
preparing for cross-cultural ministry, introduces readers to a
worshiping community that may be unfamiliar to them, and represents
a significant contribution to liturgical history.
They denounced the kind of reformation proposed by Luther, Zwingli
and Calvin as a halfway affair. They believed in a national state
church no more than they believed in the Roman church. To them
religion was the intimate concern of each individual soul, and the
church was a voluntary society of the regenerate, who had been
saved by faith in Christ and were living obediently to Christ's
principles.

The writer believes that the three-fold feature of this book is not
arbitrarily introduced. He began its study with no thought whatever
of reducing the book to any numerical basis. The divisions were, in
every case, the result of careful investigation. He commits this
volume to the reading public in the hope of making the epistle to
the Ephesians as attractive to students as it has seemed
instructive and inspiring to recent auditors
God's Word says, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a
workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word
of truth" (II Timothy 2:15). Rightly dividing or being able to
understand God's Word will require study. This book is designed to
assist you in studying God's Word. Fifty-two major doctrines of the
Bible are outlined in four separate books. Each chapter examines a
different Bible doctrine. The chapters are written in such a way to
help you thoroughly understand the doctrines--without needing a
seminary degree. If you want to be an approved workman unto God,
this book will help you accomplish that goal The thirteen chapters
of Book Four covers: The Rapture, The Bema Seat Judgment, The
Marriage of the Lamb, The Tribulation (3), The Battle of
Armageddon, The Second Coming, The Millennial Kingdom (2), The
Great White Throne Judgment, The New Heaven and New Earth, and The
Dispensational Principles.
