I was born into a Royal family in Ibadan, Nigeria, but the Lord
opened my spiritual eyes of understanding by accepting Jesus Christ
as my Lord and savior at a tender age of 19 years. I attended the
Elementary Methodist Primary School, Akeetan, Oyo, Nigeria from
1961 till 1966 and Oranyan Grammar School, Oyo, from 1967 till 1971
and graduated with many distinctions and gained several awards. I
gained an admission to the famous and prestigious Medical School,
University of Ibadan in 1974 and graduated in 1980. I had my
internship at the Baptist Hospital, Ogbomoso, Nigeria. I joined the
University College Hospital, Ibadan, for my residency training in
Obstetrics and Gynecology. I was at the University College
Hospital, Ibadan for residency training in Obstetrics and
Gynaecology from September of 1983 till August of 1985. I left for
the United Kingdom and trained in various centers under the
Universities of Manchester, Sheffield and London. While I was in
England for my residency training, I sat and passed the membership
examination of the Royal College Examination with distinction and
had a gold medal viva at first attempt which was an uncommon feat
in those days. I was employed as the Consultant and Head of
Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Burin Peninsular Health Center in
1993 before I left the hospital for the Royal University Hospital,
University of Saskatchewan from 1994 to 1996 for the Canadian
Fellowship Training as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist. I was
later employed in Regina, University of Saskatchewan, Canada after
I had completed my residency training and I have been practising
there up till today. I pray for all my patients prior to any
surgical procedure in Canada.

For All Christians Eager to Break Through to a Deeper, More
Effective Prayer Life
Here, for the first time in trade paper, Cindy Jacobs, bestselling
author and recognized leader in the worldwide prayer movement,
brings her passionate message to all Christians who struggle with
prayer or desire to be more effective prayer warriors. This
powerful guide includes questions like "Why does it take so long to
receive answers to my prayers?" and "How can I take my prayer life
to the next level?" Jacobs addresses these and many more concerns
and provides solid biblical answers.
Written out of the crucible of her own deep prayer life, Jacobs
starts with basic teaching and builds up to in-depth topics,
including fasting and spiritual warfare.
Lectio divina, which means sacred reading, is an ancient
contemplative practice of listening deeply to the voice of God in
sacred texts. In recent years there has been a reclaiming of the
riches of contemplative prayer forms of Western traditions. Through
the practice of lectio divina you become present to each moment in
a heart-centred way. Gradually, the practice of lectio expands your
capacity to sense God's presence until all of life becomes a
cascade of prayer. Drawing on her own experience as a monk in the
world, Christine Valters Paintner breaks open the movements of this
spiritual practice. She makes them accessible to the contemporary
reader who longs for a more pervasive experience of the holy in the
everyday but lives far away from the sanctuary of a monastery.

How often do we view the Our Father only as a series of petitions
rather than as a way to the heart of our heavenly Father? Popular
Catholic author Mark Hart says that the prayer Jesus gave us is a
reactionary prayerone that calls for a response from us. As he
reflects on each of the words and phrases of the Our Father, he
emphasizes the intimate relationship that God desires to have with
us. Each of the fourteen ways Hart suggests for responding to the
Lords Prayer begins with the letter Rfrom remembrance to repentance
to reliance to resolve. This book will give readers a new
appreciation for this profound yet simple prayer as well as a
deeper understanding of the love that our Father pours out on us,
his children. Informal and engaging style will appeal to both
younger and older Catholics. Makes a thoughtful Confirmation gift.

The first follow-up to Maxie Dunnam's wildly popular The Workbook
of Living Prayer, which was published thirty-five years ago, and
had sold over 1 million copies.
In the first of the two works included in this volume, Matthew
Henry teaches the elements of prayer using exclusively Bible
phrases. The reader will draw spiritual nourishment from the
copious examples of prayer under the headings of adoration,
confession, petition, thanksgiving, intercession, and the
conclusion of prayer. The first work also includes a reflection on
the Lord's Prayer, again drawing on Scriptural expressions, plus
Biblical prayers for use on particular occasions. The second work
reveals the importance of being with God throughout the day, from
beginning to end. This edition features King James English with
modern spellings and without footnotes. Prayers are printed in bold
type for ease of use. Matthew Henry was born in Wales. After being
admitted to Gray's Inn, he was ordained presbyterian minister of a
church in Chester. His most famous work is his six-volume
Commentary on the Whole Bible, work on which he interrupted to
compile this volume of Bible-based prayers.
"What Happens When God Answers Prayer" looks at God's perspective -
what He expects to happen with His answers, what happens to us and
through us after He answers. The Bible reveals many different
responses to God when He answered prayer - some good, some bad,
some rebellious, some joyful. Evelyn reminds us that an answer to
prayer is not an end in itself, but God's way of opening the next
door of our lives. The forward is by Charles Colson. The book is in
12 chapters making it convenient for a semester study at church or
a home Bible study.

a Praying (R) Grandparent
Wherever Christianity has been a living power, the doctrine of the
Holy Spirit has uniformly been regarded, equally with the Atonement
and Justification by faith, as the article of a standing or falling
church. The distinctive feature of Christianity as it addresses
itself to man's experience, is the work of the Spirit, which not
only elevates it far above all philosophical speculation, but also
above every other form of religion. That the Holy Spirit is to be
publicly owned and equally honored with the Father and the Son is
very evident from the terms of the great commission, "Go ye
therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."
There is no better place in all of Scripture than the Psalms to
learn to be with God and see with the eyes of faith the face of the
One who longs to form us fully in his image. The psalms often
stretch and perplex as they teach, but they open a divine window on
prayer. How could it be otherwise? The Psalms are God's prayer
book, and they teach us to talk to God in his own language.
Features meditations for more than 75 psalms, arranged in numerical
order, Scripture and topical indexes. Each devotional includes the
complete text of the Psalm(s) from the New Living Translation, a
"devotional window" (brief meditative thoughts and/or background on
the Psalm), a prayer route (one or more key phrases or verses from
the Psalm, followed by suggested ways to use the Psalm in prayer).

Where are the fiery prophets of today - the piercing Revivalists of
old? Why do we have "gold dust," feathers, "holy laughter" and
Charismatic chaos, instead of weeping and deep repentance? In this
book, Revival preacher Andrew Strom tells of what he saw and why he
left the modern Prophetic movement after eleven years' involvement.
And how the announcement of his leaving shook the movement. What is
real Revival? And how does it differ from what we are seeing? What
are real prophets of God supposed to be like? And how do you
discern true signs and wonders from the false? All these questions
and more are answered in this provocative book. Andrew Strom is
founder of "RevivalSchool-com" and editor of the Revival List. For
many years he was known as a "publisher of the prophets" - until
his shock announcement in 2004 that he was publicly quitting the
movement. This is his story why. FROM THE REVIEWS: "This book left
me in tears, weeping for a restoration of the true gospel and with
such a yearning to see real revival in our nation..."
