Psychic Exploration, A Challenge for Science is a primer on psychic research, life's purpose, and the meaning of the universe. Originally published in 1974, this landmark anthology of nearly thirty chapters on every area of psychic research is finally available again. Edgar D. Mitchell, Apollo 14 astronaut and moonwalker, as well as a distinguished researcher of the study of human consciousness, brought together eminent scientists to write about issues once considered too controversial to discuss. This book includes fascinating chapters on the history of parapsychology, telepathy, hauntings, psychic phenomena, and consciousness, along with an extensive glossary and index. This timeless anthology continues to be appealing as a reference work for those curious about the history of parapsychology, fans of the world of psi, and readers interested in the meaning of the universe. Contributors include: Willis W. Harman, Jean Houston, Stanley Krippner, Robert Masters, William G. Roll, Russell Targ, Charles T. Tart, Montague Ullman, and many more.
Are there dimensions of existence beyond the material world? If so, can we connect with loved ones who have passed, and with higher levels of consciousness than our own? Messages of Hope is the page-turning story of a former skeptic who has found the answers to these questions and more through evidential communication with the unseen realms. When Commander Suzanne Giesemann, former U.S Navy commanding officer and aide to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, walked the halls of the Pentagon and flew on Air Force One, she did everything by the book. A personal witness to the horrors of 9/11, she saw things in black and white, with little time for spiritual seeking. Never did she expect that a personal family tragedy would propel her on a mystical journey that would turn her life's path in a most unexpected direction. Follow Suzanne-now a practicing psychic-medium-as she moves from doubt and disbelief to full faith and trust in a reality beyond the physical senses. Laced with spirit-inspired poetry and compelling answers to many of life's big questions, Suzanne's remarkable story will leave readers with the comforting and credible message that this life is not all there is.
1924. A technical treatise in non-technical language designed to benefit the professional and amateur, and to give a broader insight into one of the most fascinating branches of public entertaining.

During his 50 years of psychical research, Sir William Fletcher Barrett (February 10, 1884 - May 26, 1925) observed many types of phenomena. In his reminiscences, read at a private meeting of the Society for Psychical Research (SPR) on June 17, 1924, less than a year before his death, Barrett said: "I am personally convinced that the evidence we have published decidedly demonstrates (1) the existence of a spiritual world, (2) survival after death, and (3) of occasional communication from those who have passed over...It is however hardly possible to convey to others who have not had a similar experience an adequate idea of the strength and cumulative force of the evidence that has compelled [my] belief." Barrett was the prime-mover in the founding of the SPR in 1882, serving as vice-president and editor of the Society's Journal during its first year and president in 1904. He also encouraged Professor William James of Harvard to organize the American branch of the SPR in 1884. In this book, Deathbed Visions, first published in 1926, the year after his death, Barrett reported on a number of intriguing cases in which a dying person appears to see and recognize some deceased relative or friend, some of them involving instances where the dying person was unaware of the previous death of the spirit form he saw. "These cases form, perhaps, one of the most cogent arguments for survival after death, as the evidential value and veridical (truth telling) character of these visions of the dying is greatly enhanced when the fact is undeniably established that the dying person was wholly ignorant of the decease of the person he or she so vividly sees," Barrett stated in the book, now something of a classic in the field.

Leon E. Curry, MD was one of the first physicians to treat children with ADHD in 1969, and developed Georgia's first rural dialysis center in 1973. But none of his scientific training prepared him for an encounter that changed his life in 1975. A friend told him of a plus-sized housewife in rural Illinois who was struck by lightning and began exhibiting psychic abilities. Dr. Curry immediately berated his friend for believing in such nonsense. On a dare, he called Greta Alexander on the phone. She asked, "What do you have to do with airplanes?" His surprised answer: "I just got out of one." His curiosity led to more phone calls. More phone calls led to a visit, which led to some of the first controlled experiments using psychic diagnosis. Greta could look at a patient's handprint and describe their esophagus, liver, or lungs - even when the patient was seven states away In The Doctor and the Psychic, Dr. Curry makes a powerful argument for continued study of this under-explored field. |
